Terry E. Brooks, 62, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 6,2005.
Service arrangements were pending this morning with Broadway Mortuary of Wichita.
Gerald L. Tracy
Gerald Lee Tracy, 60, Wichita, former Boeing engineer, brother of Carolyn Calhoun of Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, at the Argonia Wesleyan Church.
Other survivors are: father, Melvin of Argonia; daughter, Danielle Tracy of Wichita; brother, Rick Tracy of Fairfield, Calif.; sister, Pam Grill of Norman, Okla.; two grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of All Faiths Funeral Services of Wichita.
Bonny Jean Haynes
Bonny Jean Haynes, 83, Wichita, formerly of Douglass, retired secretary for Yingling Chevrolet, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005.
Graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, in the Douglass Cemetery.
Survivors include: sons, Bill Haynes of Wichita, Clarence DelForge of Lutz, Fla.; daughter, Liz Coffelt of Emporia; sister, Joan Lee Oliver of Medford, Ore.; four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established in her memory with the Kansas Humane Society.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass has charge of the arrangements.
Terry Ellis Brooks
Terry Ellis Brooks, 62, Wichita, retired United States Army chief warrant officer and truck driver, father of Kay Lyn Ware of Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005.
Funeral service was held today at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors include: wife, Debbie; mother, Margaret M. Brooks of Wichita; daughters, Cristina Peterson of Herington, Jeanette Nichols of Wichita, and Mary Webster of Grimes, ILL.; 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred H. Brooks and sister, Sandra Garritson.
Arrangements under direction of Broadway Mortuary of Wichita.
Anthony ‘Tony’ Leis
Anthony “Tony” Leis, 83, Wichita, retired dairy farmer, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005.
His funeral service was held today at Westside Church of the Nazarene in Wichita.
Survivors are: wife, Dorothy; sons, Ronald of Haysville, Donald of
Cunningham, Victor and Steven, both of Wichita; daughter, Shirley Hayworth of Clearwater; brother, Victor Leis of Douglass, Marcus Leis of Augusta, Robert Leis of Cedarvale; sisters, Betty Gehlen of Moran, Lola Small of Navarre, Fla., Joyce Magnussen of
Mulvane; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Henrietta Hilger, Antoinette Roeder, and brother, Cecil Leis.
Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita handled the arrangements.
Lois R. Harris
Lois R. Harris, 63, Arkansas City, former waitress and retired laundromat clerk, mother of Ruth Heppel-Werner of Augusta, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005.
Service was held today at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel in Arkansas City.
Other survivors include: father, John Potterton; sons, Raymond, John, Larry, and Roy; 11 grandchildren.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
Norma J. Bartholomew
Norma J. Bartholomew, 76, Augusta, homemaker, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005.
Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday; funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, both at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
Survivors include: niece, Leslie Wood of Augusta; god brother-in-law, Chuck Hutchinson of Augusta.
Norma started the Red Hat Society in Augusta.
She was preceded in death by husband, Richard and son, Mark.
Memorials to Plane of Mercy, in care of Median Shrine. Temple, American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
