Richard G. ‘Dick’ King

Richard G. “Dick” King, 77, Augusta, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14; funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15, both at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
He was born on Aug. 6, 1927 in Ashland to Roy and Violet King. He proudly served in the United States Navy Seabees dur-KING ing World War
He retired from Beech Aircraft in 1989 after 38 years of service. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed many years of association with the Beech Gun Club.
Survivors include: son, Stephen and wife, Debra King of Benton; daughters, Cindy and husband, Kevin Beard of Augusta, Karen and husband, Tom Domke of El Dorado; sister, Irene Wilson of Ashland; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother and his wife of 34 years, Berniece.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Wichita KaOio iteading Ser”
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

Lloyd Linnear Scott Jr.

Lloyd Linnear Scott Jr., Wichita, retired VA loan officer, brother of Jim Leayman of Douglass, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005.
Funeral service was held Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Valley Center.
Other survivors are: spouse, Helen of the home; sons, Skip Scott of Stevenson, Wash.; daughter, Becky Howe of Oklahoma City, step son, Roger Swilling of Columbia, Mo.; step daughter, Nancy Koch of Salina; sisters, Nancy Gilbert of Winfield, Mary Lou Hall and Betty Stipp, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center.

Dorothy Louise Lillie

Dorothy Louise Lillie, 88, Augusta, homemaker and retired sales clerk, died on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Koup Family Funeral Home in Eureka. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jim Owings of Towanda; sister, Gladys Rishel of Arvada, Colo.; one granddaughter; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; parents, William and Stella (Lloyd) Swim; a brother and grandson, James Allen Owings.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in her name to the Augusta Senior Center. They may be sent in care of the Koup Family Funeral Home P.O. box 595 Eureka, Kansas

Wanda Klazura

Wanda J. Klazura, 87, Augusta, died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005.
A rosary was held Saturday, Jan. 15, at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta. Funeral mass will be at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Chicago, ILL,.
and interment will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, ILL. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, with Walter L. Sojka Funeral Horne in charge.
Mrs. Klazura was born March 17, 1917 in Chicago to Joseph and Maryann (Sojka) Marzec. She married Adam Klazura in 1934.
Her survivors are: sons, Jerry (Dianne) of Andover, David of Denver; daughter, Roberta Mendenhall of Los Gatos, Calif.; brother, Dennis Lechniak of Oregon; sister, Irene Zalewski or Roselle, ILL.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren .
She was an active supporter of Eternal World Television Network (EWTN). Memorial contributions should be made to EWTN (205-271-2989) or Catholic Mass intentions for the repose of her soul, or A Better Choice Crisis Pregnancy Center (316-685-5757).
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta is in charge of local arrangements.
