P.J. Stockton Dies At 45
Patricia Jean Stockton, 45, Douglass, sister of Judy Williams of Augusta, died yesterday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Her service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Pruitt and Rev. Harley Guy will officiate. Burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be sent to the Midwest Bible Institute, 5908 Chippewa Blvd., Houston, Texas 77086
She was born Oct. 29, 1937 in Lyons to Fred and Ruth Pennington Rierson.
She married Clyde E. Stockton June 29, 1953 in Berryville, Ark. She survives.
She was a retistered nurse at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
She was a member of the Webster Church.
Besides her husband and a sister, she leaves four sons, Edward E. Stockton of Leon, David L. Stockton of El Dorado, Steve Stockton of Houston and Jeffrey W. Stockton of the home; her parents Fred and Ruth Rierson of Leon; brothers, Mike Rierson and Roger Rierson of Leon, and Garry Rierson of Grenola, and four granddaughters, Lisa, Laura, Alisa and Amanda.

Lloyd M. Higgs Dies At 88
Lloyd Morley Higgs, 88, 2309 Ohio, died today at his home.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles Boyle officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 3, 1895 at Anderson, Mo., as a son of Luther and Mary Etta Chapman Higgs.
He married the former Nannie B. Nestlerode in a ceremony at Pineville, Mo., on July 30, 1916. She preceded him in death in 1974.
Higgs worked for Service Pipeline Co. and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Harold of El Dorado and Marvin of Augusta, two brothers, John and Arthur, both of Anderson, Mo., a sister, Vest Wright, also of Anderson, four grandchildren (Diane Trask, David Higgs, Holly Lynch, all of Wichita, and Dan Higgins of
Marietta, Ga.) and six great-grandchildren.
Flora Haskin Dies At 93
Flora May Haskin, 93, 1131 Euclid, died Sunday in Douglass.
Her graveside service is set for 10 a m. tomorrow at Fair-view Cemetery in rural Augusta.
Haskin was born Aug. 13, 1889 in Lamar, Colo, to Tilghman L. Chance and Sarah Ann Wells.
She was married June 14, 1917 to Charles Edward Haskin.
She is survived by son Ivan of Douglass, daughter Jean Mendenhall of Augusta, brother Frank Chance of Douglass, and sister Elsie MacKay of Douglass.
She had three grandchildren, Kevin Mendenhall of McPherson, Eric Haskin of Greensburg and Nyija Price of Atlanta. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.

Edward Jones Dies at 78
Edward R. “Eddie” Jones, 78, 735 Stadium, Augusta, died Sunday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service is set for 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Lakeview Mortuary. Burial will be in the Lakeview cemetery.
Jones was born Feb. 26, 1905 to E.D. and Rosanna Cornish Jones.
He was employed by Derby Oil Co. and retired as vice president of manufacturing. During World War II he served in the Navy.
Jones was also active in the Augusta Lions Club and the El Dorado Masons. He was a former member of the Butler County Community College board of trustees.
He is survived by his wife M. Glee; sons Edward R. II of Centreville, Va.; Nicholas M. of Belleville; and sister, Ruth Bretz of Hutchinson.

A memorial has been established with the nursing program and the art department at Butler County Community College.
