Walter Montroy ‘Porkchop’ Inkelaar

Walter Montroy “Porkchop” Inkelaar, 66, Douglass, retired modification mechanic at Boeing Aircraft, died on Friday, May 27, 2005.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at the First Christian Church in Douglass, with interment in Douglass Cemetery
Visitation until 8 p .m. this evening, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m., at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Survivors include: his wife, June; daughters, Sandy Corbett and Penny Shenold of Douglass; sons,
Steve and Michael of Douglass, Mark of Wichita; brothers, Tom of Maize, Dennis of Sedgwick, Garritt of Lomita, Calif., Leo of Wichita; sisters, Margareta Backes and Dena Hall of Wichita, Ruth Burke of Solon, Ohio, and Flossie Thompson of Magna, Utah; 13 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Douglass First Baptist Church, the Douglass Senior Center, and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Smith Mortuary of Derby charge of arrangements.

Doug E. Etter

Doug E. Etter, 43, Douglass, Ritchie Corp. truckdriver, died Friday, May 27, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at First Christian Church in Douglass and interment at the Douglass Cemetery.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.
His survivors are: wife, Dora; sons, Bruce and Michael; parents, Jim and Karen Etter of Newton, Sharon Spangler of Douglass; sister, Twila Calvert of Wichita; brother, Kevin Etter of Newton; grandmother, Opal
Lambertt of Peabody; one granddaughter; Dora’s father, Ike Condon of Douglass.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Historical
Museum.
Arrangements under the direction of Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.

Helen Turner

Helen Turner, 89, Marion, mother of Anita Mattix of Augusta, died Saturday, May 28, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.
Other survivors include: sisters, Verla Cott of Salina and Alvina Skibbe of Newton; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Vonda I. Miller

Vonda I. Miller, 91, McPherson, homemaker and fashion designer, sister of Avis Flory of Augusta, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2005.
Graveside service was held on Saturday at McPherson Cemetery.
Other survivors are: son, Lee Miller of Peoria, Ariz.; daughter, Brenda Woodard of McPherson; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.Dale Miller and brother, Vorras Eliott.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, who had charge of the arrangements.
