Margaret C. Morris

Margaret C. Morris, 89, Augusta, homemaker, died on Friday, June 10, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at First Baptist Church
in Augusta. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Morris was born on a farm seven miles northeast of Augusta on Jan. 15, 1916, the daughter of the late James Richard and Fern (Fulton) Corbin. She married William E. Morris on June 25, 1938, at the First Baptist Church of Augusta.
She enjoyed belonging to several women’s clubs and was a charter member of the Junior Forum Club. She was a homemaker, with her family as her main interest — they came first, along with her love of God.
She is survived by: sons, William A. Morris and his wife, Linda of Towanda; Dennis Morris and his wife, Pat of Sapulpa, Okla.; four grandchildren, William M. Morris and his wife, Sharon, Amy Morris, Blake Morris, Kristin Trahan and her husband, Ryan; sisters, Harriet Young of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Genevieve Renschler of Liberal.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents; a brother, Leslie R. Corbin; two sisters, Dorothy Forpahl and Janet Markley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Baptist Church of Augusta, or to the Augusta Arts Council.
Arrangements are under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta.

L.B. ‘Slim’ Aitchison

L.B. “Slim” Aitchison, 85, Augusta, retired Cessna sheet metal mechanic and U.S. Air Force WWII veteran, died on Saturday, June 11,2005.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Family will be present to receive friends during visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
He is survived by: wife, Dorotha Aitchison; son, Charles Aitchison of Augusta; brothers, Roy Aitchison of Augusta and David Aitchison of Ozark, Ark.; sisters, Joyce Kenny and Ola Mae Bowman, both of Ozark, Ark.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Odyssey Healthcare, 125 N. Market, Wichita, 67202.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.

Virgil G. Miller

Virgil G. Miller, 80, El Dorado, World War II veteran, former owner of Miller Auto Repair, died on Friday, June 10, 2005.
His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Interment will follow in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Visitation until 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home and tomorrow until the funeral service.
His survivors are: daughter, Janye Mayfield, Amarillo, Texas; brother, Harold Miller of Augusta; sisters, Viola Stephenson of Pamona, Calif, and Marjorie Hampton of Wichita; two grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his wife Mary Alice (Darnold) Miller; two brothers and two sisters.
Arrangements under the direction of Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado.
