Brother Dies In Accident
Gaylord M. “Gabe” Elliott, 42, of Virgil, brother of Donald Elliott of Augusta, died Friday of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Friday evening.
His service was at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Buss officiated. Burial was in Jamesville Cemetery at Hamilton.
He was born April 7, 1941 in Virgil to Byron L. and Grethel L. Nicholas Elliott.
He was a farmer and stockman. He was the Swine Leader for the Willow Valley 4-H Club.
Other survivors include his sons, Bryon Dee, Tracy R.; a daughter, Angie, all of the home; parents, Bryon and Grethel Elliott of Virgil; a sister, Yvonne Nordmeyer of Toronto, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Elliott of Emporia.

Sister Dies In Wellington
Eutha Marie Frambers, 83, Wellington, sister of George Burkhart of Augusta, died Friday at a hospital there.
Her service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Wellington. Rev. Ovaleen Post will officiate and burial will be at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery there.
She was born March 25, 1900 in Labette County to Elias and Addie Bailey Burkhart.
She married Forrest Frambers April 27, 1921. He died April 16, 1932.
She was the retired owner and operator of The Fashion, a clothing store in Wellington.
Other survivors include daughters, Ramona Cruzan of Tempe, Ariz., Helen Lake of Manvel, Texas; another brother, Frank of Eureka, Calif.; a sister, Edith Hughes of Wellington, and four grandchildren.
The Frank Funeral Home in Wellington is in charge.

Brother Dies At 79
Fred A. Rowe, 79, Dexter, brother of Frances Rutherford of Douglass, died Friday at a Peabody nursing home.
His service was at 10 a.m. today at the Dexter, Kan., Christian Church. Burial was in the Maple City cemetery.
He was born Sept. 17, 1904 in Douglass to Ralph and Lea White Rowe.
He married Eva B. Lester. She preceded him in death in 1930.
He was a farmer and a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge.
Other survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Jones of Peabody, Margaret Brazle of New Braunfels, Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Uncle Dies At Age 63
Howard Moss, 63, Wichita, uncle of Carol Weirich and brother-in-law of Mrs. Carl Goodknight of Augusta died Thursday.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors include his wife, Lorene; sons, Roger, Donnie, Billy, all of Wichita; brother, Cassius of Lebanon, Ore.; sister, Ruth Gassett of Modesto, Calif., and seven grandchildren.

W.F. Douglas Dies At 82
Walter Fred Douglas Sr., 82, 4 Huntington, died yesterday at Hill Haven Nursing Home in Wichita.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Don Scott will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 9, 1900 in Russellville, Ark., to Walter Scott and Dora Melinda Rachel Douglas.
He married Hazel Ruth Dillaplain Dec. 25, 1923 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She survives.
He was the former owner of Fred’s Cue Center in Edmond, Okla. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
Other survivors include sons, Walter Jr., of Carson City, Nev., and Howard Roy of DeKalb, Texas; daughters, Patricia E. Scott of Wichita and Virginia R. Cunningham of Wenatchee, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Scottie Vaughn of Russellville, Ark.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Geraldine Norris, preceded him in death.
