Augusta man dies in crash of two trucks
Allen “Bill” Roberts. Augusta, died from injuries suffered in a crash of two trucks at Kansas 254 & Ohio around 3 p.m. Monday.
He was reportedly driving a westbound vehicle which turned left into the path of an eastbound truck on K-254.
Another man and a woman were injured in the traffic accident on K-254, north of Augusta.
Sheriff’s officers received the accident report at 2:40 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say Roberts’ small white Toyota pickup truck was westbound on K-254 when it tried to make a left turn in front of an eastbound GMC pickup pulling a trailer.

Former Wellington resident Melvin Moehlman of Vermillion was driver of the GMC truck.
