‘Bud’ Beck Dies At 60
G.E. “Bud” Beck, 60, Fredonia, brother of Mary Etta Johnson of Augusta, died Tuesday.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Timmons Funeral Home in Fredonia.
A memorial has been established with the Benedict, Kan., Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla; a daughter, Christine Nelson of Fairborn, Ohio; stepsons, James Loughridge of Wichita, Mark Loughridge of Greensburg; stepdaughters, Debra Ann Mayfield of Mount Grove, Mo., Charlene Keeling of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Sister Dies In Missouri
Sintha Joan Maze, 82, Camdenton, Mo., sister of Lillie Woolery of Augusta, died Tuesday, Aug. 16.
Her services were Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Hedges Funeral Home in Camdenton.
She was born in Miller County in Missouri March 8, 1901 to William Thomas and Selina Elizabeth Lutrell.
She married Jesse L. Maze in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1960.
Survivors include sons, Ralph Maze of Kokomo, Ind., and Billy Thomas Maze of Galveston, Ind.; a stepson, Jesse Maze Jr., of Mountain View, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Among those attending services are Lillie Woolery and Harold Woolery of Augusta, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Moore of Wichita.
Daughter Dies At Idaho Hospital
Katherine Ann White, two-year-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert White of St. Maries, Idaho, former Augusta residents, died yesterday at the Benewah Hospital in St. Maries.
Her service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Community Presbyterian Church in St. Maries. Rev. Gary Foster will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery there.
A memorial has been established with the Pet Therapy Program at the Valley Vista Convalescent Center, 820 Elm, St. Maries, Idaho, 83861.
She was born March 23, 1981 in St. Maries Linda Robert and Linda Curry White.
Her father is a former Mobil Refinery employee who returned to college to become a veterinarian. Before moving to Idaho, he interned at the Augusta Animal Clinic.
Other survivors include a brother, Todd, and a sister, Lisa, both of the home and grandparents, Max and Farra Curry of Augusta and Mr. and Mrs. Lou Armstrong of McPherson.
The Yates-Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries is in charge of arrangements.

Venettia Guy
Dies At 74
Venettia Pearl Guy, 74, Leon, died Sunday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Her funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Leon Cemetery.
She was born April 28, 1909, in Corning, Kan., the daughter of Charlie and Ida Drage Hull. She married Harley Guy Dec. 19, 1927, in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1952.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Leon.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Crissup, Mrs. Pearl Thomas, Mrs. Carmalettia Davis, all of Leon and Mrs. Sharlene Ehrlich, Williston, N.D.; one son, Harley Guy of El Dorado; a sister, Myrtle Bailey, Halstead; a brother, Bill Hull of Emporia; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado, has charge of arrangements.

Kay Chorn Dies At 40
Kay Lee Chora, 40, Adrian, Mo., mother of Adam Peace of Augusta, died Monday at a Kansas City, Mo., hospital.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Adrian, Mo.
Other survivors include her husband, Roy Chora of the home; another son, Bill of the home; daughters, Eve Rogers of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Diane of the home; her mother, Maxine Ohmart McDonald of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Jerry Mosley, Joe Theall and Martin Fredericks of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two grandchildren.
Her father, James LeRoy Mosley, preceded her in death.
