Catherine Singer, 72, El Dorado, died Sunday, Aug. 28,2005.
Service arrangements were pending this morning with Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.
Margaret M. DeVoss
Margaret M. DeVoss, 92, Wichita, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wichita.
Rosary at 7 p.m. tonight at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary in Wichita.
She is survived by: husband, Roy of Augusta; son, Dennis Deutsch of Ft. Scott; seven grandchildren.
Memorial established with Kansas Right to Life of Wichita, P.O.Box 12044, Wichita, 67277.
Arrangements under the direction of DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary of Wichita.
Doris Marie Johnson
Doris Marie Johnson, 88, Douglass, homemaker, mother of Christine Johnson-Ayre of Augusta, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.
Graveside service was held yesterday at the Hardtner-Elwood Cemetery.
Other survivors include: daughter, Rebecca Johnson of Newton; sister, Mary Miller of Kiowa; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, John and Carrie Kaiser; her husband, James Joseph Johnson; sister, Wilma Lewis; and brother, Johnny Kaiser.
Memorial donations may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.
Arrangements were handled by Lanman Funeral Home of Kiowa.
Betty Jo Howard
Betty Jo Howard, 76, Andover, died on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Lakeview Cemetery.
Survivors include: husband, Randall; daughters, Rikki Nuttail and Rhonda Schulz; brother, Clyde Bear; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta has charge of the arrangements.
Rudolph ‘Rudy’ Knackstedt
Rudolph Kenneth “Rudy” Knackstedt, 82, Augusta, retired pipefitter for Skelly and Getty Refineries, died on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.
Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. tonight at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Rev. J. D. Tatum
Former Augusta resident, Rev. J.D. Tatum, 52, Wichita, pastor of Woodlawn Ave. Baptist Church, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Woodlawn Ave. Baptist Church.
Survivors include: wife, Judy; parents, Jim and Twila Tatum of Copan, Okla.; son, Josh and wife, Kathy Tatum of Wichita; daughter, Joy Ariel Tatum of Emporia; brother, Dean and wife, Vicky Tatum of Newton; sister, Connie Hart.
Memorials may be made to Woodlawn Ave. Baptist Church, 960 S. Woodlawn, Wichita, 67218.
