Esther L. Pressnell

Esther L. Pressnell, 71, Augusta, died on Monday, Oct. 3, 2005.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. ^ ^
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. with family to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Headley Funeral Chapel in Augusta.
Esther was born in Wilmot on Jan. 19, 1934, the daughter of Robert E. Groom and Laura Ann (Moore). She was a homemaker and retired from Getty Gas as a secretary after 17 years. She enjoyed gardening, ranching, and most of all, spending time with her family. On Nov. 22, 1951, she married Vernon Pressnell in Wichita.
She is survived by: her husband, Vernon; sons, Robert Pressnell and his wife, June, Richard Pressnell and his wife, Debra, Ronald Pressnell and his wife, Paula, all of Augusta, Roger Pressnell and his wife, Joyce, Rodney Pressnell and his wife, Rita, both of Leon; daughter, Rita Ramsey and her husband, Bob of Augusta; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Roberta Ann (Groom) Boucher.
Memorials to Total Homecare & Hospice or Victory in the Valley.
Headley Funeral Chapel of Augusta has direction of the arrangements.

E. Elizabeth Weatherholt

E. Elizabeth Weatherholt, 91, Tulsa, Okla., retired teacher and . formerly of Augusta, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005.
Visitation from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday; funeral serv-l ice at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, both at Moore’s Rosewood Chapel in Tulsa, Okla. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta

She is survived by: brothers, Bob of Arlington, Texas, Alan of Owasso, Okla., and Bill of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Effie Glaze; two brothers, one sister, and her husband, Aubrey O. Weatherholt.
Moore’s Rosewood Chapel in Tulsa has charge of the arrangements.

Betty Lou King

Betty Lou King, 72, Wichita, retired electrical engineer, formerly of Augusta, died on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel in Wichita.
Survivors include: grandsons, Beau Galvin of Wichita and Will Whitehead of Douglass; sisters, Anna
Johnston of El Dorado and Jeri Cebula of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by; husband, Oma Ray; sons, Max and Oma Ray II; daughter, Joy Whitehead; brothers, Harold and Duane.
Memorial with the American Diabetes Association.
Arrangements under the direction of Resthaven Mortuary of Wichita.

John L. Johnson

John L. Johnson, 69, Wichita, retired fuel specialist, father of Maria Lovett of Douglass, died on Friday, Oct. 7, 2005.
Graveside service was held today at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Other survivors are: wife, Martha of Derby; daughter, Claudia Willis of Derby; son, Carl Johnson of Ottertail, Minn.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Old Mission Mortuary of Wichita handled the arrangements.
