Brother Dies
Alva Leon Vinson, 75, Salem, Ore., brother of Florence Dunn of Leon, died Friday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
His service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Carlson Funeral Home.

Father Dies
Charles Ray Allison, 54, Wichita, father of Jacqueline Griffith of Augusta, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
His service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita. Pastor Elston Page will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Harry L. Wilkins Dies At 69
Harry Lee Wilkins, 69, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Richard Bacon will officiate.
He was bom Oct. 1, 1912 in Miltonvale to Eugene and Clara Price Wilkins.
He married Inez Jo Newcomb March 8,1933 in Concordia. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired produce manager for the Augusta IGA. He was also a retired supervisor at Wesley Hospital Maintenance.
Survivors include a son, Marion E. Wilkins of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters.
Judy A. Dowling of Wichita and Cynthia L. Ballard of Sedan; four brothers, Bud Wilkins of Augusta, Duane Wilkins of Whittier, Calif., Ralph Wilkins of Phoenix, Ariz., and Virgil Wilkins of Neosho, Mo.; a sister, Marceline Ryan of Corsicana, Texas; six grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pat J. Quirk Dies At 55
Patrick James Quirk, 55, 434 E. Twelfth, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. James Catholic Church. Father David Cushing will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
There will be a Christian wake 7 o’clock Wednesday evening at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
He was bom Aug. 24, 1926 in Dunlap, Iowa to Ralph and Louella Murphy Quirk.
He married Reba Hyde March 21, 1967 in Newkirk, Okla. She survives.
He was a heavy equipment operator in construction. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion and the D.A.V.
Other survivors include a stepson, Phillip Biggart of Augusta; a daughter, Leslie Merritt of Clovis, N.M.; Robert Quirk of Lincoln Neb.; a sister, Gwendolyn Dougal, Ft. Collins, Colo., and five grandchildren.

H.L. Wilkins’ Rites Today
Graveside services for Harry L. Wilkins were at 2 p.m. today at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Wilkins, who died Saturday, was a retired produce manager for IGA in Augusta.
Among the survivors are a brother, Bud Wilkins of Augusta.
Yesterday’s Gazette incorrectly reported that Wilkins’ service would be Thursday of this week.
