C.S. Rawlings Dies At 76
Charles Scott Rawlings, 76, Andover, died today at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Rawlings service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. and Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 19, 1905 in rural Augusta to Will and Lulu Snook Rawlings.
He married Tressa Cochran June 22, 1930 in Wichita. She survives.
He was a retired automobile dealer and greenhouse operator. He was a Methodist and a member of the Kiwanis.
Other survivors include a son, Charles Stanley of Rolla, Mo.; two brothers, Nevelyn Rawlings of Augusta and Robert Rawlings of Hutchinson; three sisters, Vada Mitchell of Augusta, Velma Kenter of Arizona City, Ariz., and Violet Jones of Newhall, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Grandmother Dies, Service Tomorrow
Otie Wiggins, 89, rural Eureka, grandmother of Mrs. Don Divine of Augusta, died Wednesday evening at an Emporia hospital.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 o’clock tomorrow morning at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka with burial in the Eureka cemetery.
Mrs. Wiggins was a member of the Upper Fall River Christ Lutheran Church, the Dorcas Circle of the church and the Upper Fall River EHU.
In addition to the granddaughter here, she leaves her husband, Fred; a son, Harold of Eureka; another granddaughter, Dorthea Moore of Warrensburg, Mo.; a grandson, Jimmy Gray of Olathe and eight great-grandchildren.
Dallas Russell Dies In Colorado
Dallas Russell, 55, Grove, Okla., died Wednesday in Loveland, Colo.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 9, 1926 in Kansas, Okla., to William A. and Nancy Katcher Russell.
He married Juanita Lackey April 19,1950 in Great Bend. She survives.
He was an oil field worker and a World War II veteran.
Other survivors include sons, Jack Russell, Platteville, Colo., Jimmy Russell, Ft. Morgan, Colo., William Russell, Johnson Russell, Paul Russell and Ernest Russell, all of Longmont, Colo.; daughters, Pat Dunihoo, Ft. Morgan, Beverly Shinker and Nancy Russell, both of Lyons, and his mother, Nancy Elam, Grove, Okla.
