Golda M. Kuhn

Golda M. (Schaffer) Kuhn, 82, Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Augusta, died on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005.
There will be no service.
A resident of Charlotte since 1984, Golda Kuhn was born in Oakley on Sept. 28, 1923. She was married to Leonard Kuhn in 1942 and they were together until his death in 2004. Prior to settling in Charlotte, Golda lived in Augusta from 1950 to 1967, and spent 15 years abroad.
Survivors include: daughter, Kris (Robert) Weinshilboum; son,
Stephen (Sandra) Kuhn; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Leonard, she was also preceded in death by: her parents, Charley and Myrle Schaffer; brothers, Glen and Otis Schaffer, and her grandson, Stephen Kuhn II.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of McEwen Funeral Service Pineville Chapel in Charlotte, N.C.

James LeMaster

James “Steve” LeMaster, 52, Towanda, Blackburn Construction employee, died on Friday, Nov. 11, 2005.
Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening; funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, both at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
His survivors include: wife, Brenda of the home; son, Jesse LeMaster of Towanda; daughters, Jennifer Wehry of El Dorado, Jaime LeMaster of the home, and Amanda Bibb of Towanda; sisters, Starre Burkhardt of Garden Grove, Calif., Edith LeMaster of Denver, Colo., and Franka Fistler of Wichita.
Memorial donations may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado is handling the arrangements.

Rev. William D. Hale Jr.

Rev. William D. Hale Jr., 84, Augusta, died on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Blue Stem Community Fellowship in Leon. Inurnment services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, at the Parker Cemetery near Arkansas City.
There will be no visitation as cremation has been effected.
Survivors include: sons, Rev. William Hale, II, and his wife, Cheryl of Coos Bay, Ore. and Bradley Oliver Hale and wife, Donna of Des Moines, Iowa; daughter, Rev.
Patricia Ann Spencer and her husband, Randy of Augusta; sisters, Emma Elizabeth Butz of Belvidere, ILL. and Nora Jean Wolf-Lueder of Janesville, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren.
Arrangements are by Hawks Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Arkansas City.

Merilyn R. Timmons

Merilyn R. (Wager) Timmons, 74, Omaha, Neb., formerly of Augusta, passed away recently.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Faith Christian Church in Omaha. Interment followed at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Omaha.
She is survived by: husband, Duane; daughter, Ruth Wolfe of Omaha; brothers, Bob Wager of Reno, Nev. and Gary Wager of Sillsbie, Texas; eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren;
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Muriel Wager, and her son, Jerry.
Arrangements were handled by John A. Gentleman Mortuaries of Omaha, Neb.

Former Augustan Dewey Williams, 75, San Antonio, Texas, died Tuesday, Nov. 15,2005.

Mabel L. Coon

Mabel L. Coon, 86, Augusta, died today, Friday, Nov. 18, 2005.
Her arrangements were pending this morning with the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta,

Mildred E. Jenkins

Mildred E. Jenkins, 86, retired kindergarten teacher for Douglass and Augusta schools, died on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005.
Gathering with family will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, 203 W. 3rd St., Douglass; funeral service at 2 p.m. Monday at Douglass United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include: son, Bill Jenkins; daughters, Janet Stotts, Nancy Wheeler and Lucie Eusey; sister, Helen Olmstead; six grandchildren; numerous step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Walter R. and Lucy E. Martin and her husband, Harold M. Jenkins.
Memorials have been established with the Douglass United Methodist Church and Marianne Koke Folklore Collection at Butler Community College.
Funeral services provided by Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.
