Marie Echols

Marie Echols, 83, Augusta, retired Bank IV executive vice president, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance.
Visitation from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Her survivors are: sons, Mike and wife, Lonna Echols of Leon, Mitch and wife, Carol Echols of Wichita; cousin, Jeanne Hershey of Newton, Iowa;
grandchildren, Britt, Danny, Chad, Derek, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Chandler, Kiley, Madelynn Marie, Gabrielle, and Trent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edward Bieghler and Charles Echols; son, Larry Bieghler; two brothers.
Memorials to American Cancer Society or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Mary Lucille McNickles

Mary Lucille McNickles, 84, Augusta, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2006.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at the Leon Cemetery.
Her survivors include: daughter, Pat Bowen of Leon; sister, Mable Tucker of Arkansas City; eight grandchildren; 30 greatgrandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. ^3
She was preceded in death by: her husband,
Alfred; son, Sammy Steckman, and four brothers.
Services under the direction of Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta.
Willard A. Wallace
Willard A. Wallace, 57, Garden City, U.S. Navy veteran and diesel mechanic, formerly of Augusta, died Feb. 26, 2006.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 2; funeral service at 1 p .m. Friday, March 3, both
at Swisher-Taylor irs Chapel in ld.
Interment will be t the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield.
His survivors include: mother, Marjorie Wallace of Augusta; sons, Robert Wallace and Aaron Wallace, both of Garden City,
daughters, Yvonne Wochner of Sutton, Neb., Lavonna Pickett and Valerie Blunt, both of Garden City; brother, Kevin Wallace of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Jeanine Cales of Tonkawa, Okla.; 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle.
Memorial established with the American Heart Association.

Larry Stark Bolinger

Larry Stark Bolinger, 56, North Branch, Minn., formerly of Augusta, died on Monday, March 6, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 9 at Trinity Bible Church in rural North Branch with Rev. Gene Friberg officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Larry was born on Sept. 6, 1949 in Wichita, the son of Donald and Aleen (Starkweather) Bolinger.
He attended Augusta High School and graduated in 1967. He attended Wichita State University and graduated in 1996.
On Dec. 27, 1990, he married Anne Thompson in San Antonio, Texas. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a Vietnam veteran.
His survivors include: wife, Anne; daughter, Lisa Lundgren and husband, Russ; grandchildren,
Akasha, Grace and Ella Lundgren; mother, Aleen Starkweather and step mother, Marge Bolinger; many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Bolinger.
Memorials may go to Trinity Christian School, 38460 Lincoln Trail, North Branch, MN 55056, or Gideons International.

Reba M. Small

Reba M. Small, 83, Augusta, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 17, at the Jasper, Mo.. Christian Church. Interment will be in Park Cemetery in Carthage, Mo.
Reba was born in Lamar, Mo., on Nov. 28, 1922, to Callie and Mary (Brown) Boyd. She was married on Sept. 9,1941 to Beauford L. Small until Dec. 5, 2004, when he passed. They were extremely happy in their marriage of 63 years.
She was a homemaker early on and she and Beauford delivered papers for the Carthage Press for 22 years. She was a life long resident of Jasper County, Mo.
until recently, when she resided in Augusta for 14 months until her death. She enjoyed family gatherings and telling stories, quilting,
and crafting as well as camping and fishing with Beauford and friends. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Jasper, Mo.
She is survived by: sons, Charles Leon Small of Augusta, Terry Allen Small of Ogden, Utah, and Ronald Keith Small, also of Augusta; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Reba was preceded in death by: her five brothers, Chester, Floyd, Earl, Frank, and George Boyd; her two sisters, Fern Miller Engdahl and Leta Boyd Jones; two infant siblings.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Weng Funeral Chapel in Jasper, Mo.
