Darrel L. Coffey
Darrel L. “Rooster’ Coffey, age 50, Gage, Okla, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Monday, Sept: 4 from injuries received in an auto accident.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, at the Gage School auditorium. Interment will be in the Gage Memorial Cemetery.
Rooster was born on Dec. 13, 1955, in Manhattan, the son of Edward LeRoy and Ardith Louise Cordry Coffey. He lived in Manhattan and attended school there until the family moved to Derby. In 1970, the Coffey family moved to Augusta, where Rooster graduated from high school. He then moved to El Dorado, where he moved in with his second parents, Bonnie and Wayne Krug. Rooster began working at various odd jobs before going to work for Dave’s Auto Salvage, where he worked for the next 10 years. In 1981, he moved to Woodward and began work in the oil fields. He met Dorothy Cunningham in 1982 and they began their relationship that would last 24 years. They moved to Augusta in 1984 and lived here until 1995, before moving to Gage, Okla. To their union, one son, Joshua Michael Allen was born. Rooster went to work for the City of Gage and served as assistant water supervisor and became known as “Mr. Gage.”
In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, collecting
knives and Harley Davidson miniatures, playing darts and riding his motorcycle as much as possible. He was a member of the SBMC Motorcycle Club and took part in many cycle rallies. His family, friends and motorcycle club gave him the greatest enjoyment in life.
He is survived by: his wife, Dorothy of the home; the mother of his three daughters, Sally Williamson of Gage; his children, Joshua Michael Allen of the home, Angie Hiedman of El Dorado, Jodi Fox and Randy, Valerie Williamson and husband, Robin, all of Gage, Alicia and husband, Anthony Hrebluk of Newark, Ohio; his mothers, Ardith Coffey of Augusta and Bonnie Krug of El Dorado; brothers and sisters, Randell Coffey of Gage, Cheri Stanford of Wichita, Richard Coffey and Eddie Coffey of Augusta, Mike Krug of Albuquerque, NM, Earl Krug of Salina,
Gary Krug of Ozona, Texas, Bill Krug and Gina Stokes of E Dorado, and Carol Sage of Woodward, Okla.; seven grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Memorials may be made to a college fund set up for his son, Josh Coffey with the funeral home serving as custodian.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson’s Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck, Okla.
Charles L. Malcom
Charles L. Malcom, 55, formerly of Augusta, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, in Houston, Texas.
Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10; funeral service at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, both at Hillside Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Charles was a United States Army veteran and a structural engineer for
Mustang Engineering in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by: his wife, Marti of Houston; son, Travis of Memphis, Tenn.; daughter, Sarah and Jeff Rogers of Tomball, Texas; mother, Edith Malcom of Augusta; brother, Elvie Malcom of Augusta; sisters, Pam and Bill Brock, Mary
and Larry Keefer, and Martha and Ed Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Loyal Malcom.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for travel and funeral expenses, or a non-profit organization providing music ministry for the critically and terminally ill, can be made through Hillside Funeral Home, 117 W. Sixth Street, Augusta, 67010.
Brian Keith Eytcheson
Brian Keith Eytcheson, 36, Augusta, social worker with the St. Francis Academy in Hutchinson, died on Friday, Sept. 8, 2006.
Memorial service was held this morning at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1969 in Winfield, the son of Marvin and Patsy Eytcheson.
His survivors include: father, Marvin Eytcheson of Augusta; companion, Clint Dickerman of Towanda; sister and brother-in-law, Stephanie and Jack Nelson of Augusta; nephews, Kelby, McGinn, Dalton and Jack II; niece, Ashley; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Eytcheson.
Memorials may go to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
