Maynard Frank Walker

Maynard Frank Walker, 61, Augusta, printer and lithographic stripper, passed away at his home on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home Chapel in Augusta.
He was born on March 25, 1945 in Wichita, the son of H.M. Walker and Catharine Lucinda (Smith) Walker. He married Kristen Leigh Canfield on June 22, 1968 in Augusta.
His survivors are: wife, Kristen Walker of the home; sons, Frank (Amy) Walker of Augusta and Jason (Mary) Walker of El Dorado; mother, Catharine Walker of Augusta; sisters, Joan Walker of Redwood City, Calif, and Yvonne Brunson of Augusta; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father, H.M. Walker; brother, David Walker, and sister, Patricia Rodriguez.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Masonic Joppa Lodge #223, P.O. Box 341, Leon, 67074, or Wichita Post-Polio Support Group, 3259 Coolidge, Wichita, 67204.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.

Maxine E. Russell

Maxine E. Russell, 88, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006. Services 11 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006 at the Augusta Church of Christ.
There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Maxine was born in Haleyville, Oklahoma on April 3, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Della Mae (Castleman) Tygart.
She worked in jewelry sales for K-Mart and shoe sales for John A. Brown Company.
She was a Corps of Engineers camp host at Kaw Lake in Okla. On October 1, 1944 she married King Russell in Calvin, Okla. He survives.
Other survivors include: son. James Howard Cole and his wife Janet of Herrington, Del.; a daughter, Elzan Steele and her husband Leroy of Augusta; grandchildren, Brett Steele and his wife Karin; Scott Steele and his wife Sandra; Krista Baxter and her husband Mike; Michael Cole and his wife Rose; and Doogee grandma's great grandchildren, Jason, Jarrod, Russell, Gunnear, Kenzington, James, Cody, and Brady.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James and a sister, Joann Lovett.

Daniel “Dan” Dennett

Daniel “Dan” Dennett, 57 Douglass, retired Boeing system analyst, died November 13, 2006.
Visitation 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m.; service 2 p.m. Friday, all at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Dan was born Oct. 6, 1949 in Wichita, the son of the late Francis and Norma (Hamlett) Dennett.
Survivors include: wife, Dolores Dennett, Douglass; children, Shawn Dennett, Phoenix, Ariz., Michael Dennett, Goldsboro, NC; step children, Tammy Foltz, Douglass, Rocky Anderson, Derby; seven step grandchildren; one step great granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Victory in the Valley, Inc., 3755 East Douglas, Wichita, Kansas 67218.
