Joy Lee Pressnell

Joy Lee Pressnell, 67, passed away, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at Wesley Medical
Center surrounded by her family.
Viewing 1-8 p.m Friday with family present from 6-8
and service 1 p.m on Saturday, Jan. 26, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Joy was born in Bellflower, Calif., on July 10, 1940; the daughter of Ted and Mary Etta (Donegan) Dorsey.
Joy retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years of service.
She graduated from Augusta High School in 1958.
On Feb. 14, 1958 she married Ed Pressnell. They shared 50 wonderful years of marriage together. Joy is preceded in death by her parents; step father, Alvey Dorsey; brother, Richard Drake; sister, Helen Dorsey; and two infant brothers.
She is survived by: husband, Ed Pressnell; sons, Buddy Pressnell of Wichita; Anthony Pressnell of Wichita; and Alan Pressnell of El Dorado; brother, Robert A. Dorsey and wife Eileen of Holbrook, AZ; and a grandson, Cody Booth.
Memorials to the Special Olympics or the Lord's Diner.

‘Bob’ Penrose

Robert E. "Bob" Penrose, 82, of Augusta, passed away, Monday, Jan, 21, 2008.
No services.
Robert was born in Winfield, on Sept. 9, 1925; the son of the late Harry Osborne and Cora (Walker) Penrose.
He retired as a bookkeeper and manager at Parks Motors. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II as well.
On Oct. 31,1947 he married Delrey Presley in Wichita and she survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Jan Hopp; and Jill Greenwood and husband Steve both of Augusta; grandchildren, Brett Burch and wife Michelle, Brooke Burch, Grant Greenwood and wife Amy and Genae Greenwood; and 4 great grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Jayden and Grace.

Helen E. Navrat

Helen E. Navrat. 82, mother of Malinda Schmidt of Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at the Bethesda Home in Goessel.
Her service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Holy Family Parish, St John Nepomucene Church at Pilsen. Burial will be in the Pilsen Cemetery.
A rosary will be conducted at the Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion at 7 p.m. tonight.
She also leavesdaughter Janice B;essingof Murphysboro, ILL.; son James Navrate of rural Lehigh; a sister, Una Taylor of Luke Jackson, Texas, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the Holy Family Parish have been suggested.
