Stepmother Died Saturday
Betty J. Koerner, 60, Wichita, stepmother of Raymond Koerner of Augusta, died Saturday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her services were at 2 p.m. today at the Smith Mortuary in Derby. Rev. Earl Pruitt officiated and burial was in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
She was born Dec. 26, 1922 in El Dorado to Gilbert and Clara Johnson Percell.
She married Harvey Koerner June of 1961. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Steve Hoover, Wichita; daughter, Donna Ostreng of Wichita; a stepdaughter, Beverly Schooley of Riverside, Calif.; mother, Clara Percell of Wichita, and nine grandchildren.

Barbara McClain Dies At 57
Barbara L. McClain, 57, Ardmore, Okla., sister of Sarah K. Copeland of Augusta, died there Monday.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Harvey Chapel in Ardmore with Dr. Edwin W. Parker officiating. Services will be at the Dunsford Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be at the Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
She was born March 7, 1926 in Wichita to James Quincy and Margaret Maud Naugle Hunter.
She married Norman T. McClain July 22, 1966 in Eureka. He survives.
She was a Southern Baptist.
Other survivors include sons, Dr. M. Kent Sidel of New York City, N.Y.; a stepson, Jerald D. McClain of Goddard; brother, Murrell K. Hunter of Montrose, Colo.; another sister, Pearl Bender of Maple Grove, Minn., and a grandson.

‘Pony’ Murphy Dies At 76
Willis E. “Pony” Murphy, 76, Douglass, died Sunday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Douglass. Rev. Bill Scott will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 1, 1907 in Charleston, Mo., to Willis and Maggie Krauss Murphy.
He married Neoma Goatley March 8, 1947 in Winfield. She survives.
He was a retired Derby Oil Co., pipeline worker.
Other survivors include a daughter, Billie Turner of Warsaw, Mo.; sisters, Lizzie Frans of Douglass and Sue Parr of Sikeston, Mo.; a granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Son Dies In Oklahoma
Robert Dean Anderson, 27, Rosston, Okla., son of Robert Anderson of Augusta, died Nov. 8 at Buffalo, Okla.
His service was Saturday at Neill-Schwensen Funeral Home in Clay Center. Rev. Michael Galloway officiated and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery there.
He was born Oct. 20, 1956 in Wichita to Bob and Rita Sanders Anderson.
Other survivors of this ranch hand include his mother, Rita Berry of Rosston; a brother, Dennis Anderson of Austin, Texas.

Lucile Seibel Dies In Wichita
Lucile Seibel, 81, Wichita, mother of Madeline Johnston of Augusta, died Saturday at her home.
Her services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at the All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita. Graveside services were at noon today at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Florence.
A memorial has been established with All Saints Catholic Church in Wichita.
She was born March 16, 1902 in Florence to Michael and Mary Fitzpatrick Waner.
She married Charles Seibel. He preceded her in death.
Survivors also include a son, Richard of Wichita; daughter, Bernice Arlene Walcher of Wichita; a brother, James Waner of Benton Harbour, Mich.; sister, Agnes Seibel of Halstead; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Adell Strong Died Tuesday
V. Adell Strong, 61, Derby mother of Leeann Strong of Augusta, died Tuesday.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Calvary Baptist Church there.
Other survivors include her husband, Douglas, and a son, Steve of Oklahoma City, Okla.
