Kevin Sheets Dies At 22
Airman First Class Kevin B. Sheets, son of Gene and Barbara Sheets of Augusta, died Nov. 12 at the Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, Md., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Okla.
He was born July 10, 1961.
He graduated from Central High School in Salina in 1979.
He was a member of the 436th OMS in the U.S. Air Force. He received the Air Force Training Ribbon. He was an honor graduate in basic and technical schools. He was also awarded the Outstanding Unit Citation.
Other survivors include his wife, Lisa, and their sons, Shane and Jason; his mother, Margie Sands of Shawnee, Okla.; a stepbrother, Bobbie Smith of Augusta; stepsisters, Kimberly Byrne of Rochester, Mich., and Debra Smith of Wichita and grandmothers, Marge Gilley of Ardmore, Okla., and Mary Sheets of Anadarko.

Viola Bartholomew Died At AMCI
Viola M. Bartholomew, 79, 1130 Ohio, died Thursday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate and burial will be at the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in Augusta.
She was born Dec. 6, 1903 in Mississippi to Dan and Ola Reece.
She married Ernest Ralph Bartholomew April 8, 1923 in Guthrie, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Richard L. of Augusta; a daughter, Louise Hutchinson of Wichita; brothers, E.C. Reece of Odessa, Texas and Bud Reece of Perryton, Texas; two grandsons, Kent Hutchinson of Austin, Texas and Mark Bartholomew of Augusta, and a great-grandson.

Kathleen Malia Rites On Monday
Kathleen Sue Malia, 30, rural Douglass, died Thursday from injuries suffered in a two-car accident five miles west of Douglass.
Her service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the DeVorss Funeral Home in Wichita. Russell Bur-rill will officiate and burial will be at the Wichita Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the March of Dimes, 1052 E. First, Wichita.
She was born June 26, 1953 in Wichita to Don and Elizabeth Lauver Bartholomew.
She married Jim Malia Aug. 25, 1973 in Wichita. He survives.
She was a central service technician at Wesley Medical Center.
The Malias moved to rural Douglass a year ago.
Other survivors include two sons, David and Bradley, and a daughter, Laura, all of the home; parents, Don and Elizabeth Bartholomew of Wichita; three brothers, Bill of Wichita, Steve of Houston, Texas, and John of Girard and her grandmother, Sylvia Bartholomew of Wichita.

Brother Dies In Wichita
Theodore J. “Ted” Albert, 76, Wichita, brother of Math Albert of Augusta, died Thursday at his home.
His service was at 11 a.m. today at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wichita. Father Charles O'Connor officiated and burial was in St. Mark's, Kan., cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was born Aug. 29, 1907 on Maize to Joseph and Mary Ossweiler Albert.
He married Ruth C. Carney. She survives.
He was a retired St. Francis Regional Medical Center employee.
Survivors also include sons, Elmer of Independence, Mo., Eldon of Wichita, Ron Stump of Burlington, Mike of Romeo, Mich.; daughters, Rose Marie, Marily Butterfield, Janice Brown, all of Wichita, Karen Kleewein of St. Charles, Mo.; other brothers, John of Goddard and Roman of Wichita; sisters, Bettie Johnson, Frances Boylan and Leona Arreguin, all of Wichita, 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren;

Truman Ralston, Ex-Augustan Dies
Truman Ralston, formerely of Augusta and a cousin of H.F. Ralston, died recently in Ventura, Calif.
He will be buried in Globe, Ariz.
He played football and graduated from the Augusta High School.
