Gilbert F. Selsor
Gilbert F. Selsor, 77, Augusta, former Missile Systems, Inc. owner, Boeing and Martin Marietta Engineer,
KSU graduate, Korean War veteran, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2008.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Dunlap Pleasant Township Cemetery.
Mr. Selsor was born on Aug. 15, 1930 and raised in Kiowa.
Survivors include: wife, Debrah; daughters, Nicki (Eric) Roof of Pawnee Rock, Sherry (Terry) Nelson of Marion, Judy Watson of Augusta; sons, Forest of Iraq, John of South Lake, Texas, and Darrel of Rose Hill; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Fred and Ethel; sisters, Jewel Selsor and Lois Crowl; brother, Fred Earl; grandson, Chris Roof.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may go to the Alzheimer’s Association, 347 Laura, Wichita, 67211.

Audrey Laverne Smith, 98, Beavercreek, Ohio, sister and sister-in-law of Charley and Virginia Bird, and John Bachtel, all of Augusta, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008.
Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. and funeral service at 2 p.m., both at the Methodist Church in Hominy, Okla. Interment at the Hominy Cemetery.
Audrey was born on June 12, 1909, the daughter of C.J. and Ruby Bird in Cedar Vale. She married Chester Smith on Aug. 5, 1935.
Other survivors include: daughter, Chestine Washing of Beavercreek; son, Chester and wife, Ann of Richardson, Texas; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; niece, Barbara Cerney, niece, Kathy (Dale) Metsker; nephew, Chuck (Kelley) Bird.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester Smith in 1984, and sisters, Lucile Bachtel and Isabelle Mount.
Walter E. Anderson
Walter E. Anderson, 75, of Augusta, passed away, Monday, Jan. 28, 2008.
Memorial service 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Headley Funera Chapel, Augusta
Inurnment will be at Lakeview Mausoleum Wichita.
Walter was born in Kenosha, Wis. on May 4. 1932, the son of the late Emil Siegfried and Anna (Eckhardt) Anderson. Walter retired from Boeing as an inspector. He served as a lay minister as well as gospel magician “Mr. Magic.” He was founder and chair of the ministry with persons who have disabilities. Walter lobbied for legislation for those with disabilities and received the first signed copy of this law.
On March 17, 1984 he married Janice Hays in El Dorado and she survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: daughters, Coral Ann Ware of Mesquite, Texas, Debra Lynne Rush and husband Dennis of Wichita, and Christine Courter and husband Bill of Shawnee; a daughter in spirit, Chantel Plautz of Wichita;
brothers, William Anderson of Seiverville, Tenn. and Howard Anderson of Kenosha, Wis.;
Grandsons, Jason and Jacob Ware and Andrew, Daniel and Patrick Rush; and a great granddaughter, Madyson Grace Ware.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Ascension Lutheran Church
Commission on Caring.
