Pearl York
Pearl Rachel (Perigo) York, 97, Augusta, homemaker, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 1; funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Pearl was born June 17, 1910 in Perry, SD, to John and Bessie Perigo. They precede her.
Survivors: stepdaughter, Inez Walker, Augusta; 12 step-grandchildren and many, many step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Clarence York; stepson Alvin York and stepdaughter Mary Hills.
Arrangements by Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
Dustin Isaac Rhodes
Dustin Isaac Rhodes, 26, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, formerly of Augusta, has passed away.
A memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church, 6th and Joplin, in Galena, Kans. A private graveside ceremony will be reserved for family members and held at a later date.
He was born Jan 27, 1982 to Earl E. “Butch” and Deborah Elizabeth Rhodes at Wesley Medical Center, in Wichita.
At the age of three, Dustin and his father moved to Augusta, where he attended Headstart.
Dustin wrestled, played little league football and baseball, as well as playing soccer for Augusta leagues. He attended grade school, middle school, and high school at Augusta before testing and receiving a G.E.D. in his senior year. When Dustin was 20, he took E.M.S. training and vol-
unteered with the Butler County E.M.S. service.
In 2003, Dustin went to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands to visit his father, and moved there a year later.
Dustin worked for St. Croix LEAP and Wheel Coach, a non emergency ambulance service, while volunteering with the regular E.M.S. service in his spare time. While volunteering with E.M.S., Dustin met his eventual fiancee, Iotha Prince. They were perfect for each other and deeply in love.
Dustin became an avid SCUBA diver, holding certifications in advanced open water diving, deep diver, rescue diver, and night diver.
Dustin worked at Wyatt VI in the Hovensa refinery for a year and a half as a safety tech.
He was offered a position with the USVI E.M.S. in June 2007, which was his dream job. Dustin’s co-workers had great admiration for his enthusiasm, professional skills, and bedside manner.
He is survived by: his father, Earl, St. Croix; mother, Deborah Seeley, Oronogo, Mo.; brother, Christopher LeBlanc and wife, Wantana, Las Vegas, Nev.; s
sister, Sherry Owens and niece, Alyssa Bolin, Joplin, Mo.;

Aunt Lou Ann Enslow and husband Phil, Lawrence, On his father’s side of the family, he is survived by: Aunt Michelle Martin and husband, Tom of Wichita; Aunt Sue Ann Clay and husband, Dr. Ellis Clay, Fall River; Uncle Victor Hann and wife Shirley, Belleville; Grandmother Mary Ann Wallace of Wichita, KS.
