Ex-Augustan Dies At 72
Leona Rodden, 72, Neosho, Mo., formerly of Augusta, died there Wednesday.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho.
She was born Nov. 5. 1911.
She married Edward Rodden. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include sons, Graden of Salina and Paul of Tulsa, Okla. and others relatives including Lois and John Rodden, Ethel Kennedy and Nora Wilson, all of Augusta.

Lucian Easterling Dies In Texas
Lucian Major Easterling, 64, 236 Sunflower, died Sunday, Dec. 25, at League City, Texas.
His service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison and Rev. Ed Manherz will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society and with the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy.
He was born April 22, 1919 in Morgan County, Ky., to John and Lizzie Elam Easterling.
He married Betty Rollins Oct. 19, 1957 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a retired crude oil purchaser for Farmland Industries. He was a Methodist, and a member of the Mystic Tie Lodge 74, the Wichita Consistory and Shrine.
Other survivors include a brother, Harold of Caney, and sisters, Edith Duncan of Amarillo, Texas and Hortense Patton of Hutchinson.
Two sisters, Gladys Jack and Nell Jack, preceded him in death.

Brother Dies In Howard
Rushey Frank West, 65, Howard, brother of Fern Kern of Augusta, died Friday at the Veterans Hospital in Wichita.
His service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Graves Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Rev. Arthur Stucky will officiate and burial will be at the Rutland Center Cemetery in Elk City.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Venita, Okla., to Frank and Mary Darbro West.
He married Alyce Maryon Brown Sept. 2, 1946. She survives.
He was a retired home builder.
He served in the navy during World War II.
Other survivors include a stepdaughter, Ella Syrickland of Wichita; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Myrtle Page Dies At 92
Myrtle Revella Page, 92, formerly of the Augusta area, died Friday at the Kansas Masonic Home in Wichita.
Her service was at 10 a.m. today at the Eastern Star Chapel of the Kansas Masonic Home. Rev. Thomas W. Hall officiated and burial was in the Walnut Valley Memorial Cemetery in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Masonic Home, 401 Seneca, Wichita, Kan. 67211.
She was born March 23, 1891 in Lincoln to David and Anna Burt Shaver.
She married Fred C. Page May 8, 1912. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1968.
Mrs. Page had lived in Butler County until 1970. She was a member of the West Side Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include sons, Raymond F. Page of Wichita and Earl C. Page of Longview, Wash.; daughters, Fern Butts of Fort Bragg, Calif., Nadine Adams of Potwin; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Cochran Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Ex-Area Resident Dies At Sedan
Blanche Brundridge, 73, Sedan, formerly of the Augusta area, died at her home yesterday.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Graves-Baird Chapel in Sedan. Rev. Bill Long will officiate will officate and burial will be at the Round Mound Cemetery in Wauneta, Kan.
She was born Jan. 25, 1910 in Butler County to Albert and LouEtta Little Harris.
She married John A. Brundridge Nov. 19, 1952 in Rock. He survives.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sedan.
Other survivors include a brother, Francis Harris of Sedan; sisters, Ruby McElroy and Velma Howard, both of Augusta, and Alice Kraft of Hoxie.

Margaret Gibson Dies At Hospital
Margaret Rachel Gibson, 88, 2101 Dearborn, died Sunday, Dec. 25, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Hope Chapel in Topeka. Rev. Dr. David Bryam will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery there.
Friends may call at the Mt. Hope Chapel in Topeka from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A memorial has been established with the Talking Book Library at Hutchinson.
She was born Nov. 12, 1895 in Louisville, Kan., to Robert L. and Janette Cryder Arnold.
She married Orville LeRoy Gibson Aug. 28, 1918 in Kansas. He preceded her in death July 1, 1983. Mrs. Gibson was a Methodist.
Survivors include a son, Robert Gibson of McAllen, Texas; daughters, Margaret Nicely and Phyllis Torkelson, both of Augusta, Jean Worrall of Freeport, Ill., Kathrine Brown and Shirley Brown, both of Topeka; 32 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
