Richard Mathis II

Richard Burrell "Rick" Mathis II, 64, of Park City and formerly of Augusta, passed away, Saturday, 'Jov. 8, 2008.
Parish and Knights of Columbus rosary was held on Monday and Mass was celebrated today at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta.
Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta.
Richard was born in Los Angeles, Calif, on Nov. 21, 1943; the son of Richard Burrell Mathis I and Maxine Aurie (Thylor) Hayden. He retired as a quality assurance inspector from Hawker-Beechcraft.
He also served in the U.S. Air Force. On July 22, 1988 he married Stella (Blanton) Ralston at the
Arboretum in Bel Plaine, Kan. and she survives.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: daughters, Tiffany Gaydos and husband Robert, and Tara
Johansen and husband Spencer both of Vir-
ginia Beach, Va.; Christina Wurtz and husband Kevin of Andover; and Shelly Beckner and husband Lee of Sedgwick; father, Richard Burrell Mathis I of Eugene, Ore.; siblings, Bill Hayden and wife Vickie; Mary Steinkirch-ner and husband Tom, both of Valley Center; Dale Hayden of Ada, Okla.; Linda Garcia of Wichita; Marsha Tormey and husband Lonnie of Valley Center; Victoria Reinhardt and husband Richard of Eugene, Ore.; and Bruce Brighton and wife Shelly of Fredricksburg, Texas; grandchildren, Brady, Bailey, Gabrielle, Parker, Ash-
ley, Landon and Jonathan; great-grandson, Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Hayden and step-father, Clark Hayden; and a brother, Roderick Mathis.
Memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and the Cancer Center of Kansas.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Robert D. Allen

Robert D. Allen, 83, Wichita, retired residential contractor, father and fa-ther-in-law of Daniel and Therese Allen of Augusta, died on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008.
A private family service will be held.
Other survivors include: wife, Sally (Neff) Allen; other sons, Steven M. and Robert D., Jr.; 15 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
