Robert W.
“Bob” Wilson

Robert W. "Bob" Wilson, 85, Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008.
Memorial service 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15,at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Robert was born in Wichita on Sept. 30, 1923; the son of the late Fred B. and Vivian V. (Church) Wilson. On March 1,1944 he married Mary Hope in El Dorado.
He worked as a farmer/rancher and truck driver and also served in the U.S. Army as a PFC during WWII.
In addition to his wife he is survived by: daughter, Katherine Garrett of Augusta; sons, Jerry Wilson of Florida and Tim Wilson of Augusta; sister, Joyce Brandt of Augusta; 8 grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by brother, Jack Wilson.
Memorials to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or Cumberland Church.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Walter Sears

Walter Raymond Sears, 83, Leon, retired USAF Master Sergeant, died on Wednesday, Nov. 12,2008.
Funeral service was held this afternoon at Senter-Smith Mortuary in Mulvane.
Survivors include: wife, Marie; children, Ray Sears, Diane Myers, Pam Rissen, Sandy Boutz, and Carole Cooper; brother, Bill; sister, Joyce Pinney; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Arrangements by Senter-Smith Mortuary, Mulvane.
Guyla Peck
Guyla Peck, 74, Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11,2008.
Funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Full obituary will run in next Wednesday’s Gazette.

Tanga E. Mayfield

Tanga E. Mayfield, 57, Douglass, CFO at Minneola District Hospital, died on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008.
Funeral service was held yesterday at Smith Mortuary in Derby.
Survivors include: husband, Jim Mayfield; son, Marc Mayfield; mother, Lois Minge.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
Arrangements by Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass.
