Earline Burns

Earline Burns, age 93, longtime resident of Augusta, passed away Thursday, July 09,2009.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 18 at the Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Earline was born on April 21, 1916 in Hardin, Mo. Earline’s jobs ranged throughout her lifetime from a car hop to eventually an owner of the Fifth Avenue Coffee Shop. Later, Earline worked as a bookkeeper for IGA for 23 years before retiring.
She is survived by: her daughter, Kay Heath of Overland Park; grandson, David Norton of Mission, Kan.;
granddaughter, Julie (Mike) Farmer, of Overland Park; granddaughter, Shan Haider of Frazier Park, Calif.;
niece, Anna Lee Burress of Baldwin City; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, her infant twin granddaughters and her husband, D.R. Burns.

Michael Don Manis

Michael Don Manis, 49, Wichita, brother and brother-in-law of Ronald and Denise Manis of Andover, died on Sunday, July 12,2009.
Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, at Broadway Mortuary Chapel, Wichita.
Other survivors: daughter, Erika (Mike) Swafford; son, Michael Manis; parents, Donald and Wyvon Manis; sister, Lonna (Scott) Downing; one grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial established with the Via Christi Burn Unit, 723 N. McLean Blvd., Suite 310, Wichita, 67203.

Beatrice Anne Adams Knight Ammersbach, 80, Wichita, sister and sister-in-law of Kenneth W. (Pam) Adams of Andover, died on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
Service and interment were held today at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita.
Other survivors: children, Marcia Anne Knight, Michael T. Knight, and Steven B. (Kassie) Knight; two grandchildren; brother, Richard L. Adams; sister, Wanda Janzen Moody.

Billie Butler, 87, of Augusta, passed away on Monday, July 13,2009.
Service arrangements are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
