Zona Claxton Swank

Zona “Honey” Claxton Swank, 83, Augusta, retired registered nurse, died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita.
She is survived by: sister, Kay Summers; one grandson; two greatgrandchildren; two step sones; five step grandchildren; one step greatgrandchild; numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Swank; daughter, Kyral Blankenship Cowans, and son, Trace Norton.
Arrangements by Hillside Funeral Home East, Wichita.

Nellie E. Kleysteuber

Nellie E. Kleysteuber, 82, El Dorado, died on Thursday, Dec. 3,2009.
Visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. this evening; service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, both at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Survivors: son, Martin Junghanos of Leon; daughters, Bobbi Thomson and Judy Thomas, both of Wichita; sisters, Anna Belle Howard of Andover and Georgia Taylor of Wichita; five granchil-
dren and three greatgrandchildren.

Jane Ann Finney-Giesen

Jane Ann Finney-Giesen, 83, sister of Peggy Irving of Augusta, died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009.
Service was held today with interment at Hopewell Cemetery, Beloit.
Other survivors: children, Michael and Carolyn Finney, Wave and Jerry Nekuda, and Dwight and Christine Finney; two step children 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous family members.

Acy Cody, Jr.

Acy Bill Cody, Jr., 75, retired Boeing supervisor, Wellington, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5,2009.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today; funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, both at the Frank Funeral Home in Wellington. Interment will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.
Acy Bill Cody, Jr. was born on May 17, 1934 in Augusta, to Acy Bill Cody, Sr. and Ethel Fern (Wheeler) Cody.
Acy enjoyed first and foremost spending time
with his family, coffee breaks with his friends, piloting his planes and following the stock market.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Conita of Wellington; three sons, Everett L. (Samantha) Cody, Michael L. Cody and fiance’ Mary Ann McEach-ern, all of Wellington, and Brett A. (Sherry) Cody of Augusta; two daughters, Trina K. (J.Allen) Young, Andrea R. (Aldolpho “Bucky”) Ybarra, all of Wellington; brother, Irvin Cody of Augusta; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Acy Bill Cody III; brother, Lawrence Cody; and sister, Delphine Myers.
Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.

Erma Faye Deen

Erma Faye Deen, 81, died Sunday December 6, 2009 at her home in El Dorado.
Celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Thursday Dec. 10, at the Kirby-Mor-ris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Cremation will precede the service.
Faye was born Oct. 27, 1928 at Broken Arrow, Okla. She married Walter H. Deen on June 14,1947.
She was a homemaker raising three children. She was a member of the Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers. She loved to cook, fish, watch CSI, her grandchildren and taking care of everyone. She was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jay-hawks.
Survivors include: son, Lance Deen of Augusta; brother, Richard Newby of the Kansas City area; grandchildren, Brett Layman, Shynne Layman, Chancy Howard, Branson Deen, Jarrett Deen and Caitlin Deen.
She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, daughter De Angela Lea Howard and son David Deen.

Robert A. Lytton, Sr., 86, formerly of Augusta, died on Monday, Dec. 7, 2009.
