Ex-Augustan
Ethel Broomfield, Jay, Okla., formerly of Augusta, died yesterday.
Her funeral will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Jay. Burial will be there.
She was born July 8, 1904 in the Augusta area to Harley and Ola Boucher.
She married Forest Broomfield. He survives.
Other survivors include daughters Lois Flewelling, Marjorie Broomfield, and Helen Addington; a daughter-in-law, Norma Broomfield of Augusta, and a sister, Edrie Broomfield of Augusta.

Father Dies
Paul E. Vogt, 80, Hesston, father of Helen Bergen of Augusta, died Thursday at a nursing home there.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Garden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge. Rev. Carlton Tschetter will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the Gideon International and Union Rescue Mission in Wichita.
He was born Aug. 24, 1903 in Moundridge to C.A. and Barbara Ruth Vogt.
He married Edna Tangeman Nov. 1, 1925 in Newton. She preceded him in death in 1976.
He was a retired farmer.
Other survivors include a son, Arnold C. of Hesston; daughters, Verna Broeckel of Lacrosse, Wash., Betty Oiler of Newton and Dorothy Freisen of Walton; brother, Willard of Hesston; sisters, Clara Roth of Hubbard, Ore., Helen Ewy of Hesston; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The Harder-Kaufman Funeral Home in Moundridge is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Eldringhoff
Mrs. Herb (Marie) Eldringhoff of Kansas City, sister-in-law of Augustan Hazel Eldringhoff, died Monday. The funeral was Wednesday.

Ella Casner
A funeral for Mrs. Ray (Ella) Casner, aunt of Augustan Hazel Eldringhoff, was held this week in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Among those attending were Hazel Eldringhoff, Joe Eldringhoff and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Corbin.

Mother Dies In Mulvane
Lulu I. Howard, 95, Mulvane, died Friday at the Villa Maria nursing home in Mulvane. She was the mother of Maurice Howard of Augusta.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Mulvane Brethren Church. Burial was in the Mulvane Cemetery. Senter-Smith Funeral Home in Mulvane was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Howard was born in Evanston, Ill., July 18, 1888, to Gilead and Evalene Shull Bartholomew. She married Erwin Howard July 26, 1910 in Mulvane. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1952.
She was a housewife.
Survivors are her sons, Lee of Mulvane, Maurice of Augusta and Merlin of Pine, Colo.; daughter, Lela Grieve of Mulvane; brother, Leon Bartholomew of Mulvane; sister, Ethel Howard of Mulvane; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to Mulvane Brethren Church.

Turia Bolington
Died In Douglass
Turia Bolington, 92, Douglass, died Friday at the Douglass Nursing Center.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Douglass Cemetery. Jim Lorenson will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Historical Museum.
She was born Dec. 13, 1891 in Vincennes, Ind.
She married Marcus Bolington Dec. 21, 1909. He preceded her in death.
She was an iris grower and active in the Douglass Historical Society.
A niece, Edith Smith of Sumner, Ill., survives.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangement.

Ex-Douglass Resident Dies
Verna Rose Griggs, 95, Coming, N.Y., sister of Jessie Davies of Douglass, died Wednesday in Coming.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Rev. Janet Sevier will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
Founders Pavilion in Corning, N.Y., the Douglass Public Library and the United Methodist Church.
She was born Dec. 26, 1888 in Douglass to James A. and Eula Denkel Clay.
She married Jeff Griggs. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She was a retired teacher.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Lear of Corning; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
