Charley L.Dahlem

Charley L. “Chuck” Dahlem, 74, Wichita, retired automotive repair businessman, bank deposit credit card representative, 32nd degree Mason and community activist, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010.
Visitation with family present 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7; service at 1 p.m. Monday, both at Cochran Mortuary in Wichita. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass.
Survivors: wife, Phyllis; daughters, Linette Price of Mesa, Ariz., Julie (Kendale) Dupuy of Augusta, and Deanna Dahlem of Wichita; brother, Michael Dahlem, Wichita; sister, Wanda Garcia, Vacaville, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.

Norma Lee Thompson

Norma Lee Thompson 85, of El Dorado died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010.
The Celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will follow the services in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
Norma was born May 10,1924 in El Dorado the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Towner) Turner. On July 26, 1946 she was united in marriage to Reggie Robert Thompson, Sr. in El Dorado. He preceded her in death on March 27,2003. She was a wonderful homemaker and everyone enjoyed her
cooking and baking. She loved to read. She was always there to help anyone in need.
Surviving family include: sons, Danny and wife Sharon Jones of El Dorado, Reggie “Bobby” Jr. of Wichita, Dennis and wife Jean of Leon; daughter, Judy and husband Lloyd Ross of El Dorado; brothers, David Turner, Cedarville, John Turner of Clay Center, Bill Turner both of Augusta, and Richard Turner of Rosalia;
sisters, Mary Nuttle and Barbara Hutson of El Dorado, Frances Healy, and Carol Goss both of Wichita; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, and one grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas.
