Dale E. Blair

Dale E. Blair, 97, of Rose Hill and formerly of Augusta, passed away, Saturday, March 20, 2010.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 10 . on Thursday, March 25, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance.
Dale was a retired machinist at Boeing Aircraft Company and was a life long auto mechanic and carpenter. A veteran of World War II, he served as a Browning automatic rifleman with Company G, 415th Regiment, 104th Infantry Division "Timberwolf."
Dale was born January 8,1913 in Searcy County, Ark. to Samuel and Ola (Shipman) Blair. He married Norma J. (Hutton) on July 28,1934. Norma and infant son, Dale Vaughn preceded him in death.
He is survived by daughters, Norma Lynne (Bob) Nichols of Rose Hill, and Neva Lee Rogers of Panama City, Fla.; son, Jarrell Boyd (Becky) Blair of Augusta; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Joseph “Joe” W. Blackford

Joseph "Joe" W. Blackford, 91, Andover, WWII Veteran and retired Beech Aircraft sheet metal instructor died on March 20, 2010.
Services will be held at a later date.
Joe was born Jan 14, 1919 in Independence, Kan. During WWII, Joe was a member of the U.S.
Marine Corp. pESq He retired from Beech Aircraft in 1984 after 42 years. He was a member at the Andover United Methodist Church.
Survivors include wife, Dorothy Jeanne (Howard) Blackford, Andover; son, Joseph (Susan) Blackford II, Manhattan; daughter, Jan B. (Patrick) Dukes, Oklahoma City; grandson, Jason (Dawn) Dukes, Yukon, Okla.; and three great-grandchildren, Madison, Evan, and Aiden Dukes.

Shirley Ann (Nagel) Burrows, 84, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, Beechcraft sheet metal riveter and welder, passed away, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Harry Hynes Inpatient Unit at Via Christi St. Francis.
Visitation with family greeting friends will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.; funeral at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.
Shirley was born on May 24,1925 in Ida, Mich, to Frank and Clara

Evelyn Pierce, 85, Augusta, retired nurse, passed away, Sunday, March 21, 2010.
