Pearl G. Elliott Dies At Hospital
Pearl Grace Elliott, 79, 1042 Dearborn, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Trevolt will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born July 14, 1904 in Keighley to James and Effie Hardy Eastin.
She married Lawrence E. Elliott July 2, 1921 in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1957.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Verne of Augusta and Rodney of Wichita; a daughter, Wilma Mayfield of Olathe; a brother, Roy Eastin, address unknown; sisters, Mabel Terrell of Leon, Oral King of Beaumont, Inez Bing of Latham and Essie Wright of El Dorado; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Brother Dies In Wichita
Delbert C. Belscher, 74, Wichita, brother of Alice Clark of Augusta, died Wednesday at his home.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hyde Park Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He was born April 27, 1909 in Waverly, W.Va., to Adrian and Sarah Baughn Belscher.
He married Venita Maggard Aug. 26, 1933 in Augusta.
He was a retired maintenance man and a missionary.
DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Grocery Store Owner Dies At 86
Edwin Hogue, 86, Leon, owner of the Hogue Grocery Store in Leon, died today at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Leon.
Carlson Funeral Home of El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.
David O. Bacon Dies At Hospital
David O. Bacon, 69, Leon, died Friday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Leon Christian Church. Rev. Floyd Hansen and Rev. Tony Venturella will officiate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Leon Christian Church.
He was born May 12, 1914 in Leon to Orson H. and Laura Butts Bacon.
He married Ruth Tomlin Nov. 25, 1936 in Pawhauska, Okla. She survives.
He was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of Joppa Lodge in Leon, the Golden Age Club of El Dorado, and the Senior Citizens of Leon.
Other survivors include a son, David O. Bacon II of Leon; daughters, Mary Fry of Wichita and Phyllis Serasin of Tolland, Conn.; brothers, W.C. Bacon of Spokane, Wash., and Merle Bacon of Leon; sisters, Zerita Longsinger of Collinsville, Okla., Vivian Porter of Clute, Texas, and Gladys Smith of Douglass; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Clara E. Bence Funeral Thursday
Clara Etta Bence, 90, Route 2, died Friday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Tomman and Rev. S.D. Hartzler will officiate and burial will be in the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita.
A memorial has been established with Gideons International, 4 Wells Drive, Rose Hill, Kan., 67133.
She was born April 20, 1893 in Iowa City, Iowa, to Salem and Emma Tennessee Mathas Beard.
She married Dr. Arthur Edgar Bence Oct. 28, 1922 in Iowa City. He preceded her in death in 1954.
She was a nurse and a member of the volunteer Auxiliary Force that served in France during World War I. She was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include sons, Bob Bence and Edgar A. Bence, both of Augusta, and Mark F. Bence of Newton, and two grandchildren.
Francis Walton Funeral Today
Francis E. Walton, 81, Rose Hill, died Friday at his home.
His funeral was today at the Rose Hill Church of Christ. Mark McCluggage officiated. There were Masonic graveside services. Burial was in the Richland Cemetery near Douglass.
A memorial has been established with the Maude Carpenter Childrens Home in Wichita and the American Cancer Society.
He was born April 27, 1902 in rural Douglass to Jessie E. and Myrta May Kessinger Walton.
He married Lucille MacKay July 4, 1933 in Iola. She preceded him in death in 1979.
He was a retired auto mechanic. He was a member of the Douglass Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, James C. Walton of Douglass; a daughter, Hazel J. Warren of Rose Hill; a sister, Margerite Buck of Attica, and two grandchildren, Lance and Demona Walton of Douglass.
