ORVILLE NESLER ... retired from Mobil
Orville Nesler Dies At 72
Orville Owen Nesler, 72, 518 Osage, died Tuesday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 19, 1911 in Burnt Prairie, Ill., to O.F. and Hattie Nesler.
He married Edna M. Kelley March 15, 1933 in Gainsville, Texas. She survives.
He was a retired Mobil Oil refinery worker.
Other survivors include sons, Owen E. of Wichita, and Richard, Charles W., Gerald and Dennis A., all of Augusta; daughters, Shirley Shafer, M. Darlene Ingram, both of Augusta, Joyce Fessler of Yuba City, Calif., and Kathleen Clem of Wichita; sisters, Daisy Painter of Wichita, Marie Seabaugh of Hickory Ridge, Ark., and Lucille Odell of Granite City, Ill.; 34 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Harry W. Stage Funeral Pending
Harry W. Stage, 70, 1628 Dearborn, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral arrangements are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Saturday Funeral For ‘Pat’ Stage
Harry W. “Pat” Stage, 70, 1628 Dearborn, died Tuesday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born June 12, 1913 to George Harley and Lola Mae Jonas Stage.
He married Velma Lillian McIntosh in Augusta Sept. 20, 1935. She preceded him in death in 1971.
He was a retired Mobil Oil refinery in 1975. He worked there 40 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the El Dorado Moose Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Walter James Stage of Hartford, Conn.; daughter, Margaret Barnett of Liberal; sisters, Roberta Selvage of Augusta, Ruth Swink of San Antonio, Texas and Audrey McCoy of Wichita, and five grandchildren, Ted, Chrystal, Ranee, James and Brian.

Raymond Lackey Dies At 71
Raymond G. Lackey, 71, died Thursday at Walnut Valley Manor nursing home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Frank Miller will officiate.
He was born Feb. 18, 1913 in rural Augusta to Hiram and Florence Pearl Taylor Lackey.
He married Maxine Dearing Nov. 19, 1939 in El Dorado. She survives.
Lackey was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and Mystic Tie 74.
Other survivors include daughters, Joyce Ann Roberts of Wichita and Judith S. Burgess of Lilburn, Ga.; a sister, Ruby Clippinger of Augusta; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Kansas Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 2763, Wichita, Kan., 67203.

Weedon Brewer Dies At Hospital
Weedon B. Brewer, 89, El Dorado, father of Bernice Worrell and Shirley Jones, both of Leon, died Saturday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Art Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
He was born March 1,1895 in Pierson, Ill., to William M. and Ellie Clark Brewer.
He married Vivian Davis May 6, 1926 in Augusta. She preceded him in death July 11, 1975.
He was a retired farmer and stockman.
Other survivors include daughters, Phyllis Jackson of El Dorado and Francie McBeth of Burden; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
