Alice Steiger Dies At 92
Alice B. Steiger, 92, El Dorado, a retired postal employee, died today at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bella Vista Cemetery in El Dorado.
She was bom March 10, 1889 in El Dorado to Thomas and Izora Wilson Yelley.
She married Frank Steiger June 26,1912 in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Dr. F. Robert Steiger, Downers Grove, Ill.; a daughter, Carol Allison Whiteside of Bella Vista Ark.; three sisters, Margaret Ragland of Yuba City, Calif., and Sarah Morganstein and Martha Sewell, both of Lake Havashu City, Ariz, eight grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.

Rites Pending
Charles W. Govenius, 65, Money, died yesterday at Augusta Medical Complex.
Services are pending at Dunsford Funeral Home.

Grandmother Dies In Missouri
Gertrude Winter, 91, Lebanon, Mo., grandmother of Chris Gilliand, died Jan. 18 in
Raytown.
Her service was Jan. 21. She was buried in the in Competition, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Winter, who died in 1961. He was a retired Socony-Vacuum employee.
Survivors include a son, Woodrow Winter of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Billye Glassman of Chester, Maryland; five grandchildren and four great-grandsons.
After returning home from the funeral, Harry and Chris Gilliand and their sons, Andy, Daniel and Matthew, were notified of the death of Billye Glassman, daughter of Mrs. Winter. She had been in ill health for quite some time.

Friday Rites For Govenius
Charles W. Govenius, 65, 1201 Money, died Feb. 1 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Bacon will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Mausoleum.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Fund.
He was bom Jan. 25, 1917 in Augusta to Charles W. Govenius Sr.
He married Lenita Dodge Feb. 24, 1940 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a member of the Christian Church and a retired welder at Cessna Aircraft Co.
Other survivors include a stepson, Kenneth Biggs, El Dorado; a stepdaughter, Pat Barker of Augusta; three grandchildren, Monty Barker, Lenita Lohman and Rick Biggs, and two great-granddaughters, Jessica Biggs and Jennifer Biggs.

Father Dies In Wellington
Ernest Joseph Posch, 76, Wellington, father of Dorothy Wedman of Leon, died Monday.
His service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Wellington.
A memorial has been established with the Wellington Hospital.
He was a retired farmer.
Other survivors include his wife, Helen Posch; sons, Norbert Posch of Wichita, Anton Posch of Aurora, Colo.; daughters, LaVerne Wedman of Ponca City, Okla., Marie Unruh of Arkansas City, Bernice Waddell of Lose Angeles, Calif., Lorene Willis of Springfield, Mo.; a brother, Ferd Posch of Cheney and a sister, Anna May of Kingman.
The Day Funeral Home in Wellington is in charge of arrangements.
