Sunday Rites For Vera Seal
Vera Seal, 78, Douglass, died yesterday at the Harper (Kan.) hospital.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Douglass Church of Christ. Louis Tanday will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
She was bom June 8, 1903 in El Dorado to Arch and Mary Jane Thomas Reed.
She married Leonard C. Seal Nov. 6, 1920 in Douglass. He survives.
She was a retired school teacher and librarian. She was a lifelong resident of Douglass.
She was a member of the Douglass Church of Christ.
Other survivors include a son, James C. Seal of Garden Grove, Calif.; two grandsons, Randy Seal of Kent, Wash., and James L. Seal of Moundsville, W.Va., and two great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Ray Dies At 72
Clarence Richard Ray, 72, 316 Clark, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
His service was at 2 p.m. today at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Nebergall officiated and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born May 10, 1909 in Hartford to Fred and Georgia DeLano Ray.
He married Virginia Helen Wentling June 4, 1937 in Augusta. She survives.
The Mobil Refinery retiree was a member of the First Baptist Church in Augusta and B.P.O.E. 1462.
Other survivors include a son, Emery Ray of Newton; six brothers, Fred Ray of Borger, Texas, Charles Ray of Tonkawa, Okla., Jim Ray of Sanford, Fla., Robert Ray of Buena Park, Calif., Harold Ray of Blackwell, Okla., and Her-shel Ray of Salina, and three sisters, Josephine Tremble, Oklahoma City, Okla., Louise Fisher and Irene Lay, both of Borger, Texas.

F. Baughman Rites Tuesday
Fred Abner Baughman, 90, Route 2, a retired farmer, died Saturday at home.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Latham Christian Church. Rev. Jack Tom-man will officiate and burial will be in the Latham cemetery.
He was bom Aug. 4, 1891 in Taylorville, Ill., to Obidiah and Josephine Bond Baughman.
He married the former Goldia Pearl Ryan April 1, 1915 in Wichita. She preceded him in death in 1961.
Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Winzer of Augusta; a sister, Dollie Baughman of Augusta; two grandchildren, Joan Snyder and Richard Winzer, both of Augusta, and five great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Jacque Schmidt, preceded him in death.

Winifred Nida Dies At AMCI
Winifred F. Nida, 89, Douglass, died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita. Rev. Vernon Reffner will officiate.
A memorial has been established with Colonial Manor nursing home in Douglass.
She was born June 1, 1892 in Douglass to Charles W. and Anna Alger Thomas.
She married Albert Martin Nida. He preceded her in death in 1958.
She was a retired teacher and a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Nida of Wichita and Milton Nida of Winfield; a sister, Faye Hutsell of Alder-wood Manor, Wash.; five grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Rites Now Thursday
The funeral service for Fred A. Baughman, 90, rural Augusta, has been rescheduled because of the snow.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m Thursday at the Latham Christian Church. Burial will be in the Latham Cemetery.
