Dale Parsons Dies At 54
Dale Parsons, 54, rural El Dorado, died Sunday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Shackelford will officiate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
He was bom March 3, 1927 in Woods County, Okla., to Curtis and Julia Wright Parsons.
He married the former Ramona Wheat Oct. 2, 1944 in Medicine Lodge. She survives.
He was owner-operator of Angleton Garage in El Dorado. He was a member of the Joppa Masonic Lodge, the Wichita Consistory and the Midian Shrine. He also served on the Haverhill school board.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Other survivors include two sons, Sam Parsons of El Dorado and Bill Parsons of Derby; his father, Curtis Parson of Alva, Okla.; three brothers, Neal Parsons of Byers, Colo., Henry Parsons of Tulsa, Okla., and Gail Parsons of Manhattan; a sister, Delza Rodgers of Alva, Okla., and four grandchildren.

‘Larry’ Ewalt Dies At 65
Lawrence W. “Larry” Ewalt, 65, 1603 Highland Drive, died yesterday at his home.
His service will be 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Arnold Studt-mann, pastor of the Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemtery.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or the Augusta Christ Lutheran Church have been suggested.
Ewalt was born Nov. 5,1916 at Atlanta to John Henry and Mary Emma Need Ewalt.
On July 3, 1947, he and the former Virginia Dashner were maried in a ceremony here.
The owner of Ewalt Liquor Store on West Seventh was also a structural steel worker and independent oil producer during his lifetime.

During World War II and the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Navy. Ewalt was a member of Elks Lodge 1462 and the Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife of the home, he leaves three sons, Greg of Vallejo, Calif., Monty and Scott of Augusta; a daughter, Rhonda Ewalt of Wichita; three brothers, J.W. “Bill” Ewalt of Miami Springs, Fla., Ernie and Walter Ewalt, both of Augusta; four sisters, Mrs. Nona B. Howard, Mrs, Harry Shafer and Mrs. Merle Canfield, all of Augusta, Mrs. Leota Euler of Topeka, and one grandchild, Michelle Diane Ewalt.
