Former Augustan Dies At Hospital
Nellie Marie Bradbury, 78, El Dorado, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Bob McNary and Rev. Harold Kieler will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Miriam Circle at the United Methodist Church in El Dorado.
She was born July 28, 1905 in Woodward, Okla., to John and Martha Babcock Gossett.
She married Crandell D. Bradbury July 2, 1924 in Galena, Mo. He preceded her in death April 11, 1981.
Survivors include a son, Elwood of Bakersfield, Calif.; a daughter, Maxine Cooper of Butler, Wis.; a sister, Hazel Baker of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Father Died Monday At 84
Edwin G. “Ted” Arnold, 84, Severy, father of Janie Harvey of Leon, died Monday at a Fredonia hospital.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Forsberg Funeral Home there. Rev. Paul Lynn will officiate and burial will be in the Twin Groves Cemetery in Severy.
He was born Aug. 8, 1899 in Piedmont to Moses and Margaret Herald Arnold.
He married Vera Gladson. She survives.
He was a retired grain dealer.
Other survivors include; a brother, Murray of Alamogordo, N.M.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Raymond Edelman
Dies At Hospital
Raymond Lee Edelman, 39, Haven, brother of Betty Hiser of Augusta, died Tuesday at a Hutchinson hospital.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cochran Mortuary. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
He was born June 27, 1944 in Wichita to Charles M. and Margaret Anna Farrell Edelman.
Other survivors include his mother, Anna Rogers of Waldron; brothers, Kenneth Edelman of Wichita, William Rogers of Chicago, Ill.; sisters, Letha Tabing of Independence, Mo., Shirley Nelson of Waldron, Mary Ebling of Kansas City, Mo., Judy Adams of Wichita and Diane Adams of Sedgwick.

Rolla J. Ryan died Thursday
Rolla J. Ryan, 93, Latham, died Thursday at Knutson Manor Nursing Center in El Dorado.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Latham Christian Church. Rev. Tony Venturella will officiate and burial will be in the Latham Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Latham Masonic Lodge Building Fund, Latham, Kan.
He was born Aug. 24, 1890 in Thayer to John A. and Lettie Wilson Ryan.
He married Fay LaMunyon Aug. 19, 1926 in Cottonwood Falls. She preceded him in death April 17, 1971.
He was a retired farmer and rancher and had lived most of his life in the Butler County area.
He was a 50-year member of the Latham Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Rolla Lee Ryan of Fort Orchard, Wash.; two daughters, Eva Jean Shaw of Panama in Central America, Elsie DeMoss of Latham; four grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge.

Richard Ray Dead At 21
Richard Earl Ray, 21, Route 2, died early Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was riding struck a horse southeast of Augusta.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann officiated and burial was in the Towanda (Kan.) cemetery.
He was born Oct. 2, 1962 in El Dorado to Richard L. and Sharon K. Laymon Ray.
He was a truck driver for Marion Alley Interiors and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Sharon Ray of Augusta; brother, Ron of the home; sisters, Terri Ray of Wichita and Linda of the home, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Ray of El Dorado.

Christopher Dies In Wichita
Geneva Christopher, 69, Rose Hill, sister of Lillian Stevenson and Edith Hall, both of Augusta, died Friday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks and Rev. F.W. Litchman will officiate and burial will be in the Towanda (Kan.) cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Arthritis Foundation.
She was born Aug. 2, 1914 in Towanda to Albert Franklin and Almedia Adelade Duckett Priest.
She married Lester L. Christopher Nov. 25, 1948 in Towanda. He survives.
She was a retired civil service employee and worked in the department of Agriculture Corps of Engineers.
Survivors also include two other sisters, Renie Klintworth and Rose Jones, both of El Dorado.
Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
