Fay Dubus

Fay Dubus, 80, Andover, retired secretary at Beech, passed away on Dec 2.
Service was held this afternoon at Faith BAp-tist Church in Andover. Interment followed at Bruno Township Cemetery, Andover.
Survivors include: children, Melanie Pen-rod, Robert A. and Robbie E. Dubus; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Dolores Lipscomb

Dolores Irene (Simmons) Lipscomb, 83, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, at Lakepoint of Augusta.
Funeral mass was held today, at St. James Catholic Church, 1010 Belmont, Augusta. Interment in Walnut Valley Cemetery, El Dorado.
Preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Phyllis Carr.
Survivors: sons, Richard (Georgiann) Lipscomb, Rose Hill, and Dennis (Pam) Lipscomb, Augusta; daughters, Jeanne (Fred) Brooks, Wichita, Dana (Ed) Pavey, Valley Center, and Michele (Jim) Schaefer, Springfield, Mo.; brother, Keith (Marjorie) Simmons, Rose Hill; brother-in-law, Bob Carr, Wichita; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; many nieces arid nephews.
Memorials: Amedisys Hospice or St. James Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements by Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.

Bertha Irwin

Bertha Irwin, 84, of Augusta died on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
Bertha was born April 9,1926 in Chanute, the daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Sellars) Yarnell. She grew up in Chanute and graduated from highschool. On March 27,1948 she was united in marriage to Harold Sam Irwin in Chanute. For a number of years she worked in Circle High School as a secretary. She was a wonderful homemaker. She volunteered as a pink lady at the hospital. She loved to sew, paint, garden and play her organ at home.
Surviving family include: one son and his wife, Rex and Denise Irwin of Wichita; daughter, Linda and husband Kirk Merrill of Frederick Way, Wash.; brother, Laurel Yarnell of Buffalo, Kan.; sister, Wilma Thompson of Chanute; grandchildren, Kimberly and Samantha Merrill, and Jacqueline Irwin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam on Oct. 9, 2010, and one sister.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimers Association.
Contributions may be left with the Kirby-Mor-ris Funeral Home who is assisting the family with their arrangements.
