Melvin Neal Bruington

Melvin Neal Bruington, 79,
El Dorado, died Saturday, Dec.18,2010, surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation with family present will be 6-8 p.m. this evening, at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado. Celebration of his life will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Burial will follow at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, El Dorado.
Melvin was born Sept. 26,1931 at Newton, the son of Oscar and Hazel (Jacobson) Bruington.
He grew up in the Florence area attending school and graduating high school in Florence. He was united in marriage to Eloise Zeiman on Dec. 18,1953 in Florence. Saturday would have been their 57 year anniversary.
Melvin was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major serving his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Melvin was a member of the 82nd Airborne attending jump school in 1949. He was awarded the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Viet Nam Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal w/ 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Legion of Merit, United Nations Service Medal, Master Parachutist Badge and many other medals. He loved to spend his spare time fishing and hunting with his grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion, the Florence Masonic Lodge and the First Christian Church in Florence.
Survivors include: his wife, Eloise; daughters, Connie and (Kenneth) Bengtson of Wichita, Brenda (Mike) DeFelice of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Melanie (Jeff) Cox of Augusta; brothers, Terry of Olathe, and Rex of Columbus, Miss,; sister, Wanda Davis of Emporia; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by a sister Donna Wahl.

Ruth E. Ingram

Ruth E. Ingram, Lockport, NY, wife of the late Norman Ingram, entered into rest on Friday, Dec. 17,2010 at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport, NY.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Faith United Methodist Church Quaker Road, Barker, NY. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery Cambria, NY.
She was born in Beaver Falls, NY on Sept. 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Ann Smith Zahno.
Ruth married Norman Ingram January 6,1939, He died in 2001.
Ruth was a member of the ladies at North Ridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was the mother of Larry and Darlene Ingram of Augusta; the grandmother of Terri Ingram, Wichita, Sandra Fay, El Dorado, Karin and Brett Steele, Augusta, Tammi and Daryl Doshier, Rose Hill and Darla Ingram, Augusta; other suvivors include
children, Barbara and Edmund Eggert of Barker, NY, John and Diana Ingram of Lock-port, NY, as well as her numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Rodriguez

Armando "Herman" Rodriguez, 65, of Benton, died on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.
Funeral service was held yesterday at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial followed at Benton Cemetery, Benton.
He is survived by; wife, Rose; sons, William Rodriguez of Andover,
Mario Rodriguez of Wichita and Vincent Rodriguez and wife Jenaca of Denver, Colo.; daughters, Serena Orocio and husband Andrez of Augusta and Marie Carr of Andover; brothers, Jesse Rodriguez of Benton and Joe Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, Texas; sisters, Angela Hernandez,
Josiphine Zazueta, Julia Barbosa, Elva Gonzales and Estelle Dallegos all of Ft. Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
