Mildred M. Bridgewater
Mildred M. Bridgewater, homemaker, Wichita, passed away Monday, Dec. 20,2010.
Visitation 1 'hour prior to service; service 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 23, both at Hillside East.
Mildred is survived by her son, David (Lorraine) Bridgewater of Branson West, Mo.; daughters, Katherine (Bob) Black of Wichita, Sheryl E. Carroll
of Augusta; several brothers and sisters; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

Melvin L. Helena
Melvin L. Helena, 86, Andover, retired mod mechanic, horticulturist and WWII Army veteran, passed away Dec 22.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec 27, and services will follow at 10 a.m., both at Andover United Methodist
Church, 1429 i N. Andover Rd. Interment and military honors will follow at Bruno Township Cemetery, Andover.
Melvin was born Sept. 4,1924 to Ralph and Anna Marie “Kauba” Helena in Wichita. On Feb. 26,1948 he married Ruth Warne at Bethany United Methodist Church in Wichita. Melvin was a 4H volunteer and a lifetime member of the Be-stor Brown Masonic Lodge and the National Forestry Association.
Survivors include: wife, Ruth; children, Jim Helena, Janice Marie Barton, and Wes and Clint Helena; sister, Helen Glotfelty; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many other famijy and friends.
Memorials may be made to Andover UMC or Andover Senior Citizens Center. Condolences may be left at www.heritageo-fandover.com.
