Terry Lee Rawlings

Terry Lee Rawlings,
61, Augusta, passed away at his home in the arms of his loving Rawlings family and friends late Christmas Day just in time to make it to heaven to celebrate Jesus' birthday.
Closed casket visitation without the family will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. A service to celebrate his life will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec.29,2010 at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Private burial service Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Terry was born in Wichita, on March 14,1949; the son of the late Neve-lyn Richard and Audrey Viola (Godfrey) Rawlings. Terry graduated from Augusta High school and Butler College and attended Wichita State. He and his family owned and operated 54 Motor Service Ice Station. Nov 5, 1992, Terry was given the blessing of a second chance at life with his heart transplant. He loved spending time outdoors at his family farm, was an avid collector, especially Dr. Pepper items. Terry also enjoyed researching Augusta's history as well as taking photos to document its history. He was
an active member of First Baptist Church, where he served on several com- mittees, and a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. On May 23, 1970 he married Jacque Taylor at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jacque; sons, Jason Rawlings and wife Misty, and Jarrod Rawlings and wife Lainie; daughter, Tiffany Press-
nell and husband Keith; brother, Rick Rawlings and wife Ruth, and twin brother, Gary Rawlings and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Gage, Skyler, Caden, Payton, and Chase, all of Augusta.
Memorials to the First Baptist Church or Midwest Transplant Network.
Arrangements by Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.

Billy Floyd Chance, age 82, Douglass, retired finish carpenter, died Wednesday, Dec.22,2010.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday, Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home, Douglass; graveside service 2 p.m., Tuesday, Douglass Cemetery.
Survivors: step-daughter, Viola Drouillard, Augusta.

Drusilla Purdin, 88, Dalsa, Okla., formerly of Augusta, passed away on Friday, Dec. 24,2010.
Services are pending with Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home, Augusta.

Dennis D. DeVore

Dennis D. DeVore, 56, Augusta, employee of the Butler County Department of Aging, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, after losing his battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at the Lanter-man Funeral Home Chapel in Cheney.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles W. Diehl.
He is survived by: his
daughter, Megan; sons, Tanner and Isaiah,; sisters, Debbie Haydon and Diana Hoffman; brother, Galen Diehl; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
