24, 2010.
Visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, with the funeral services following at 1:30 p.m., both at Dunsford-Zeiner Funeral Home in Augusta.
Dude was born on June 13,1922 in Jenks, Okla., to Cecil and Sadie Carter. She was the middle child of three, having an older sister, Beryl Richardson, and a younger brother, Dan Carter. Dude grew up on Indianapolis St. in Tulsa, graduated from Tulsa Central High School, and the University of Tulsa where she earned a degree in accounting. While at TU she was a cheerleader, a member of Chi Omega Sorority, and was also a football homecoming queen as well as a band queen. She married Calvin Purdin of Augusta, in 1946 and later moved to Augusta,where she and Calvin owned and managed Purdin’s Cleaners, a dry cleaning business. While in Augusta she was active in various social groups as well as president of the Soropti-mist Club. Dude’s hobbies included sewing and playing with her pet
Chihuahuas.
She is survived by: her son Cal; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann; two grandchildren, Todd and Molly; and her devoted Chihuahuas.
Memorials may go to the Humane Society in care of the funeral home.

He was born July 26, 1921, on the farm where he grew up in Butler County, the son of Samuel B. and Josephine (Gillum) March. He
served in the
■ Navy during WWII as an aviation mechanic on PBY Flying Boats. He retired from Beech Aircraft in 1986 as a Liaison Engineer after 37 years in aircraft. He continued with his part time farming operation for another 10 years.
Louis is survived by: wife of 61 years, Dulcia March of Douglass; daughter, Dana Jeanae (Galen) Brown of Wichita; sons, Louis J. (Nina) March of Douglass, and Hal March of Arkansas City; 7 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
His siblings, Mary Bates, Clarice Stanberry, and Brinten March all preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the National Parkinson Foundation.
