McDougald dies in Wichita
James H. “Hal” McDougald, 57, 1103 Leckliter, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church. Father David Cushing will officiate and burial will be in Titusville, Fla.
The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Dunsford Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established with Marriage Encounter at St. Joseph’s Center in El Dorado or to a scholarship for his son, John McDougald.
He was born April 1, 1927 in Holiday, Texas to Thomas Calvin and Ollie Ellen Elston McDougald.
He married Betty Doughtery Nov. 21, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pa. She survives.
He was a Boeing Military Aircraft Co., employee.
He served in the military during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Michael with the U.S. Navy in Sicily, Timothy and John, both of the home; daughters, Mary Long of Irving, Texas, Bette Fay McDougald of the home and Patricia McDougald of Wichita; sisters, Vena Wilson of Snyder, Texas, Marzie Jennings, El Paso, Texas, Margie Trantham of Hillsboro, Texas, Melva Lee McDougald and Faye Sims of Snyder, and grandchildren, Kellie and Kevin Long, Chris and Jason Davis and Amanda Rose McDougald.
