Sister dies at Stafford
Pearl M. Branaman, 78, Plevna, sister of James Evans of Augusta, died Monday at a Stafford hospital.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Community Church in Plevna. Rev. Larry Hoffman will officiate and burial will be in the Hazen Cemetery near Plevna.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
She was born Aug. 31, 1905 in Little River to James H. and Fannie May Nixon Evans.
She married Earl Branaman March 24, 1923 in Pratt. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Lynn of Hutchinson; a brother, Chet Evans of Grove, Okla.; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Cheryl L. Jones died in El Dorado
Cheryl L. Jones, 55, El Dorado, mother of John L. Jones of Latham, died Wednesday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. William Longman will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery there.
She was born Feb. 6, 1929 in Latham to Emmet L. and Madeline Smith Brewer.
She married Glenn Jones July 23, 1960 in Augusta. He survives.
She was a secretary.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in El Dorado.
Other survivors include two sisters, Pauline Beedles of Enid, Okla., and Maxine Broadstock of El Dorado; a grandson, Justin Jones of Latham and several nieces and nephews.

Richard C. Taylor died in Wichita
Richard C. Taylor, 52, Wichita, brother of Jack Taylor of Augusta, died yesterday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Resthaven Mortuary Chapel in Wichita. Rev. Dale Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Rites tomorrow for R. Taylor
Funeral services for Richard Taylor, 52, Wichita, will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
He was the brother of Jack Taylor of Augusta.
He was a plumber.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; sons, Rodrick and Kenneth, daughters, Mary Lou Hadley and Leigh Anne Brown, all of Wichita; other brothers, John of Wichita, Max of Seattle, Wash., and six grandchildren
