Alvie Cody died Sunday
Alvie Cody of Woodward, Okla., a nephew of Dorothy Rowland, Martha Cody, Virginia Cody and Ernest Jackson, died Sunday.
Dorothy and Melvin Rowland, Lary Cody and Martha Cody planned to attend the funeral today in Woodward.
Cleta T. Fultz dies at 69
Homemaker Cleta Tesse Fultz, 69, Walnut, sister Augustan John Shirk, died Tuesday.'
Her funeral service will be at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Walnut Valley Cemetery in Leon. Earl's Memorial Home of Fort Scott is in charge of arrangements.
In addition to her brother here, Mrs. Shirk leaves her husband, Roy; a son, Delmar Hodgens of Walnut; three daughters, Margie Lancaster of Tucson, Ariz., Patricia H. Keiffer of Wichita and Terry Lowry of Walnut; three sisters Wanda Gates of El Dorado, Majora Hester of Derby, Betty Harvey of Whitewater, and nine grandchildren.
Nancy Petty died Monday
Homemaker Nancy Petty, 77, Potwin, mother of Augustan Martha Green, died Monday.
Her funeral service was this afternoon and burial was in the McGill Cemetery at Potwin. The Lamb Mortuary at Whitewater was in charge or arrangements.
In addition to the daughter here, Mrs. Petty leaves a son, Paul of Shawnee, Okla., six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Frederick Frans dies in Wichita
Frederick Bryan Frans, 72, Route 4, died Wednesday at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. George Goudie will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Cumberland Church.
He was born Dec. 24, 1911 in Wyatt, Mo., to Clay and Chloe McElroy Frans.
He married Eva Aubuchon Dec. 23, 1935 in Hutchinson. She survives.
He was a retired oil field supervisor for Terra Resources
Co.
He was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge.
Other survivors include sisters, Gladys Taylor of Augusta and Maxine Richardson of Wellington.
Rachel Peebler died at home
Rachel Peebler, 89, 124 High Street, died Wednesday, June 6, at her home.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta United Methodist Church.
She was born June 9, 1894 in Grantville to William O. and Anna Keller Wright.
She married David S. Peebler June 9, 1915 in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Fisher of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Maxine Guest of Augusta; a grandson, Bob Fisher of Denver, and two great-grandsons, Andrew and Michael Fisher.

'Fritz' Snodgrass dies in Wichita
Francis “Fritz” Snodgrass, 82, Wichita, brother of Ina Elliot of Augusta, died Tuesday.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Wichita. Memorials have been established with the church and the Wichita State University Track Scholarship Fund.
This Augusta native was a former WSU track and field coach and a member of the Kansas High School Hall of
Fame.
He was inducted into the Kansas High School Activities Association Hall of Fame in 1981. The Fritz Snodgrass Endowment Scholarship was initiated that same year at WSU.
During his 11 seasons at WSU, Snodgrass produced 44 individual Missouri Valley Conference champions. The Shockers won the Missouri Valley Conference title once, finished second twice and third eight times. He was also named MVP Coach of the Year once.
His personal achievements as a track person included competing in the half mile at Pittsburg State College and participating in the first four Kansas Relays from 1923 to 1926.
As a high school coach in Wichita for 13 seasons, his teams won eight Class AA state championships.
Other survivors include his wife, Ruth; son, Phil of Wichita; daughter, Suzanne McFarland of Topeka; brothers, John of Valley Center, Palmer of Shawnee Mission; another sister, Erma Woyame of Wichita, and six grandchildren.
