Frances Churchman

Frances Evelyn (Manning) Churchman, died on July 5, 2011 in North Newton, Kan.
A graveside committal will be in Parkerville, Kan. at a future date.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1923 to Frank and May (Totten) Manning in rural Parkerville, Kan
She attended Parkerville High School and later Emporia State Teacher’s College where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a music teacher for various schools, including Hope Elementary in Hope, Kan., Augusta Elementary Schools in Augusta, and Douglas Elementary School in Douglass.
She was married to William L. Churchman in Council Grove, Kan. on June 7,1942. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this year.
She was a long time member and officer of the Augusta Outlook Club, the Wichita Organ Club, and member of the Augusta United Methodist Church.
Frances is survived by: her husband, William L. Churchman of North Newton; their son, Michael H. Churchman and wife, Darlene of Queen Valley, Ariz.; daughter-in-Law, Suzanne Churchman of Wichita; four grandchildren, Michelle Churchman of Anna, Texas, Lori Howton and husband, Eric of Anna, Texas, Aaron Churchman and wife, Brooke of Washou-gal, Wash., Rebecca Churchman of Tuscon, Ariz., Benjamin Churchman and wife, Nicci of San Manuel, Ariz.; and six great- grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and May Manning; her son, William L. Churchman, Jr.; and a sister, Beulah Brown.
A memorial has been set up for Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 606 N. Main, Suite 201, Newton, KS 67114.

Aimee Jett

Aimee Suzanne (West) Jett, 37, of Wichita and student at 1 Heritage College, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011.
Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Aimee was born in Topeka on Dec. 13,1973, to Jim West and Karen Simpson. She enjoyed photography.
She is survived by: husband, Jeff Jett; daughters, Mercedes Loehr of Wichita and Cheyenne Crowe of Mansfield, Ark.; step son, Joseph Jett; sisters, Alayne Peterson of Kechi and Andrea Pogue of Moberly, Mo.; mother and stepfather, Karen and Rick Fisher of Augusta; stepmother, Wanda West of Wichita; step sister, Kim Spanaugle of Wichita; grandfather,
Robert Simpson; much loved nieces and nephews April, Patrick, Leigh Anne, Patty, Crystin, Jason, Rollie and David; and her dogs Buster and Odie.
She was preceded in death by father, Jim West; grandmother, Cyvylla Simpson; and step sister, Robin Kilpatrick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to donor's choice.

Travis Johnson

Travis Michael Johnson, 30, Augusta, passed away on Tuesday, July 5 ,2011, at Kansas Medical Center in Andover.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday,July 8, at Dunsford Funeral Home and Crematory, Augusta. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, at Life Church, 7070 SW Ohio, Augusta. Casual attire is requested.
Travis was born on Dec. 4,1980, to Bobby and Rochella (Doherty) Johnson in Wichita.
He is survived by: his parents; great-grandmother, “Mother” Bernice Floyd of Augusta; brothers, Timothy “T.J.” (Casandra) Johnson of Augusta, Jeremiah Johnson of Goddard; sister, Charlie (Tyler) Collins of Augusta; grandmother, Ruby Thompson of Solomon, Kan.; nephew and niece, Blake Johnson and Leah Collins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or in care of the funeral home.
