92. AUGUSTA

lleen Francis Ledger-wood, 92, was born June 18,1919 to Hayes and Gladys Ledgerwood at Cambridge, Kan. She died Oct.4, 2011 at LakePoint Nursing Center in Augusta.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12,2011, at the First Christian Church, 1600 State St. in Augusta.
lleen graduated from Burden High School and business school. She loved to play piano, travel, and see all her friends. She retired from Travelers Insurance Company in 1980 and lived in Winfield until moving to Augusta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Billy L. Ledger-wood, Sr. and James Ledgerwood, and niece, Nancy Sperry.
She is survived by:nephews, Bill (Janelle) Ledgerwood Jr., of Augusta, Terry Ledgerwood of Sedgwick, and Steve (Sharon) Ledgerwood of Eureka; nieces, Julie (Scott) McCallister of Durango, Colo, and Marilyn (Dick) Zimmerman of Valley Center; sister-in-law, Bobbie Ledger-wood of Durango, Colo.; many great nieces and nephews.
Memorials are to First Christian Church.

68. AUGUSTA

Judie Yeley of Augusta, was born in Billings, Mont, on April 13, 1943 and died peacefully Friday,Oct. 7, 2011 at home.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at the First Assembly of God, Augusta.
She was the loving wife to Bob; a mother of six, Shannon (David), Rick, Fred, D. L. (Bernie), Kim (Chewy), Jenny (Joel); grandmother to 13, Sabrina, Devin, Michael, Troy, Kenny, Bobby, Sean, Carey, Heather, Buddy, Tara, Beau, and Lynden; great grandmother to 9 (one on the way); also survived by brothers, Gary (Barb) and Lonnie; sisters, Truie (Orv); and Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
Judie was so special to her many friends, church members, neighbors, and prayer warrior group of 20 years. A special thank you to her pastor Gene Kaufman and friend Betty Logston. Our sweet Judie is now working for Jesus in Heaven. We will miss her special touch in each of our lives. Thanks for being our angel here and now in Heaven.

53, WINFIELD

Leland Harvey Howes, 53, carpenter, of Winfield, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011.
Service at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at the Douglass Township Community Center in Douglass.
He is survived by: his companion, Rhonda; children, Shannon (Frankie) Runnion of Augusta, Mitchell (Erin) Britt of Douglas, Debra (Vance) Cooke of Atlanta; 11 grandchildren, 2 great- grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Peggy) Howes of Powder Springs, Ga.; sister, Susan (Terry) Best of Wichita.
He is preceded in death by his parents,
Dick and Bernice Howes and sister, Sheila Sweet.
