June Colleen Martin, 93, of Augusta, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28,2011.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service
10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2,2012 at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born June 28, 1918, the daughter of the late Rolla Fletcher and Wilma Mina (Crusha) Murdick. June worked as a bookkeeper for Martin Brothers Motors and retired from Mid-Continent Savings in 1971. She was an active member at First Baptist Church and past president and member of
RPW and Soroptomist
Club. On Sept 20,1939, she married Aubrey Martin in Augusta and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Dena Beth, and a brother, Corliss Jacobs.
She is survived by: daughter, Judy Haynes and husband Ron of Andover; grandchildren, and spouses, Brandon and Lisa Haynes, Erin and Kelly Middleton, Lindsay and Chuck Martin, Cort and Kelly Haynes; greatgrandchildren, Lezlee (Paul) Fowler; Logan (Colton) Heinrich; Fallon, THstan, Greyson and Tor-ren Haynes; Drake, Drew and D.J. Middleton; Lander, Caden and Carlie Martin; and Kyron and Cole Haynes.

33, WICHITA
Timothy E. Wetzel 33, of Wichita and formerly of Augusta, died on Wednesday, Dec.28,2011.
The celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Wichita.
Tim was bom April 20, 1978, the son of William and Melanie (Albright) Wetzel. He attended school in Augusta, Butler Community College in El Dorado, and graduated Summa Cum Laude in mechanical engineering from Wichita State University. He had worked at both Hawker and Lear Jet. He loved music and was an accomplished trumpeter in the high school band and played in the Praise Band in his church, Holy Cross Lutheran. He also played in the German Polka Band. Tim was active in Wichita racing, a computer whiz, and a wonderful handyman, and he would help anyone in need.
Surviving family include: his parents, William and Melanie of Augusta; brothers, Daniel (Becca) Wetzel of Wichita, and Matthew Wetzel of Augusta; nephews, Skyler and Kabren Simon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial to the Holy Cross Fund.
