Removing the body
FATAL ACCIDENT SCENE — Authorities and emergency medical personnel could do little for Ernie Londagin after he was struck by a petroleum tanker truck near Third and Walnut last night. The 70-year-old Londagin was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Dr. Ron Varner (standing in the background at right). Others assisting in the foreground above, from left, are police chief Steve Shaffer, policeman Randy McWilliams, emergency medical technician John Case and EMT David MacAdam. Londagin’s funeral will be Saturday afternoon at Dunsford’s. Part of the petroleum truck's cab can be seen in the left foreground.
