Russell L. Carter, 89, formerly of Augusta, passed away in Wichita on Wednesday, March 28, 2012.
Services are pending with Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory, Augusta.

89, WICHITA
Russell Lee Carter, 89, of Wichita, retired assembly worker for the Coleman Company, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 2, in Elmwood Cemetery, 521 E. 12th, Augusta.
Russell was born Jan. 20,1923, to Louis and Alma (Hill) Carter in Bloomington Township in Butler County, Kan.
He was a 1940 graduate from North High School in Wichita. He married RosaLee Wiswell on May 8,1942, in Wichita.
Survivors include: his daughters,Virginia Carter of Wichita, Teresa (Dale) Trammell of Toms River, NJ, and Robin Carter of Centrailia, Wash.; a brother, Cecil Carter of Pueblo, Colo.; two granddaughters, Deborah Trammell of Toms River, NJ and Deanna (Rusty) Posey of Brick, NJ; two great-grandsons, Jesse and Justin Posey.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents; spouse; and a brother Louis Carter.
Arrangements by Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory, Augusta.
