Carrie E. Harp burial today
Graveside services for Carrie Ethel Harp, 99, Winfield, mother of Ethelyn Falwell of Augusta, were held this morning at the Highland Cemetery in Winfield. Rev. George Kemp officiated.
Mrs. Harp died Sunday at the Winfield Good Samaritan Center. A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
She was born Aug. 4, 1884 in Rock to Edward A. and Verona Dailey Houser.
She attended Wheatland School near Rock.
She married Charlie Harp Nov. 26, 1903. He preceded her in death June 29, 1972.
She was a charter member of the Rock Christian Church. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Winfield.
She was an accomplished pianist and was actively involved in music. She also enjoyed outdoor activities.
She was a resident of the Winfield Good Samaritan Center since March 16, 1983.
Other survivors include a son, Marlyn Harp of Winfield; daughters, Frances Talley of Wichita and Maxine Williams, both of Wichita; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Foos funeral to be Thursday
The funeral service for Wilbert John Foos, 67, 2017 Robbins, who died yesterday at Augusta Medical Complex, will begin at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel here. Rev. Dean McCormick will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 13, 1916 in Bison to John and Mollie Margheim Foos.
He married Alice Blankenship Nov. 28, 1941 in Wichita. She survives.
He was a chemist for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
He served in the military during World War II.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Wichita.
Other survivors include a daughter, Constance Jule Fitz of Augusta; sisters, Luella Smith of Harrison, Ark., Laura Mickel of Garden City, and Pauline Ferguson of Bazine, and two grandchildren.

Jessie Dunlap rites pending
Jessie Dunlap, 88, Route 1, died Thursday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services are pending with the Langford Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ark. Burial will be in the Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge, Ark.
She was born April 9, 1896 in Arkansas to Hiran and Elviria King Lackey.
She married Orville Dunlap who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1892.
She was a farmer.
Survivors include sons, Willard L. Dunlap of Memphis, Tenn., and Vernest E. Dunlap and Clinton Dunlap of West Memphis, Ark., and a daughter, Edna Lemke of Gordon.

Infant funeral to be Saturday
Nancy Lynn Lindahl, 21-day-old daughter of Edward and Denise Lindahl, died Thursday at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Marvin Adams will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
She was born June 29, 1984 in Andover to Edward E. and Denise A. Apel Lindahl.
Other survivors include a brother, Jeremy Ray Edward Lindahl; a sister, Kimberly Ann, both of the home; grandparents, Paul and Virginia Lindahl of Andover, Hary and Yvonne Apel of Augusta and Leola Lindahl of Wichita; great-grandparents, Barbara Apel of Augusta, Wilma Renfro of Ellinwood, Carroll and Pearl Brown of Portland, Ore., and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lahman of Fairview, Mo.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Rose Hill man died at hospital
Harold H. “Curly” Scott, 77, rural Rose Hill, died Thursday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 16, 1907 in Rose, Okla., to John and Roxie Paris Scott.
He married Nancy Jane Lawyer in El Dorado Jan. 16, 1932. She survives.
He was a ranch worker.
Other survivors include a son, Teddy W. Scott of Wichita; a daughter, Patsy A. Jones of Augusta; brothers, Pick of Catoosa, Okla., and Harry of Hooker, Okla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grand-children
