Stephen Chappell, 77, of Burney, Calif., formerly of Augusta, died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
Service arrangements are pending with Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel, Palo Cedro, Calif.
Steve was born on May 24,1935 to Alva and Cleo (Plummer) Chappell. He attended Augusta schools through eighth grade when his family moved to California.
He is survived by: wife, Shirley of the home; daughter, Sara Anderson and her four children of Hays, NC; numerous other relatives.

67, LIBERAL
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Liberal First Christian Church.
Survivors include: wife, Vicky; parents, Jacob M. and Jean Christner Kauffman; daughters, Misty Passell-Kauffma, Shameem Kauffman, Miss Augusta 2012, and Tara Stahle and husband Shawn; son, Jason Kauffman and wife, Tracy; his father-in-law, Jackson Moore; a special family friend Tanner Weeast; sisters, Jo (Bo) Firkins, Joyce (Rick) Baron, Julie (Phillip) Jantzi, and Janice (Russell) Miller; brothers, Jerry (Mary) Kauffman, Jorge (Jennie) Kauffman, and John (Barbara) Kauffman; 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Kauffman.
The family suggest memorials to The Kennedy’s Disease Association or to Southwest Miracles in care of Miller Mortuary, Liberal.James "Jim” Kauffman, 67, owner/director of Miller Mortuary of Liberal, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.

Thomas O. Mosier, 84, of Augusta, passed away Friday,Sept. 7, 2012.
Rosary 7 p.m. Monday,Sept. 10, and funeral mass 10 a.m. Tuesday,
Sept. 11, 2012, both at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta.
Thomas was born in Union Hill, ILL. on Sept. 8, 1927, to the late Selina (Dutour) and Joseph Mosier, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He also served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Industrial electrician. On Oct. 4, 1952 he married Eva (Satterfield) at St. Rose of Lima n Kankakee, ILL. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Henry, Joseph Jr., Louis, and Francis Mosier, and Catherine Blau.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Kroeger of Melborn, Australia, Douglas Mosier of Seatle, Wash., Dennis Mosier of Augusta, Timothy Mosier of Victorville, Calif., Michael Mosier of Denver, Colo., Ruth Mosier of Eugene, Ore., Robin Mosier of Clarksville, Tenn., and Christopher Mosier, of Denver, Colo.; 29 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church or school 1012 Belmont Ave., Augusta, KS 67010
